@Steve_Doido
I struggle to find any rationale behind your "suggestions".
You clearly want to change most of the names, even the ones that were in English to begin with, even though this particular translation isn't taking place in Los Angeles. Supposedly "as every true fan of the Ace Attorney series" as you put it, because that's "how it was done".
Thing is, even the official localisations kept quite a bit of names untranslated (especially the "foreign" ones), and the ones that did get translated were in fact direct translations of the kanji in the Japanese name and not just for the heck of it or to make up new "cool" puns (though admittedly, it seems many people's idea of localisation is making up stuff in translations).
So no, "Gregory Wright" isn't what the Capcom translators would go with - the Gregory part has zero, zilch, nada relationship with the "Ryuunosuke" part, and it's riding on the coattails of another translated name that's actually inspired by the original name. Under the guise of "localisation", fan-fic writers are trying to impose their ridiculous made up stuff as "canon" names, regardless of the setting justifying these names at all, or even these names trying to be inspired by the original names. But then again I suspect a fanfictiony rewrite of the plot to "fit" the setting to these new names comes as part of the package?
With your suggestion to change Roylott's name, an established character in the canon of another long-established series of English books, you further proved that you actually want a fanfiction rather than something representing the original. It throws out of the window any possible claim you want to keep the meaning of the other original Japanese-y names in the translation like Capcom USA intended with the changes (a demand not even the most adamant weaboos voice, and even then, it's satisfied more often than not with external translation notes, even with Working Designs games who were THE go-to company for pointless translation changes).
I'd sympathise with wanting to have fanfictions... if not for you simply
not seeming to take no for an answer, and trying to force YOUR interpretation on everyone waiting for a translation representing the original game, considering not everyone shares the same contempt for aspects of it as you do.
Feel free to learn Japanese and rewrite the names as you see fit. Or if this translation comes out, use the tools or your favorite hex editor to change the names and rewrite the plot from Japan to Chinatown, Los Angeles, USA, and every single occurrence of Gregory Wright facing racism as him simply being lacking at social skills and being accidentally rude at people he meets then having sudden unjustified outbursts of a persecution complex.
Some people were displeased with Tomato's Mother 3's fantranslation often hauled as one of the best done, so even though they didn't speak a lick of English, they could still edit that translation and change, cut, remove, rewrite whatever they disagreed with, and then released it as its separate patch. You can do that already with the English demo for
