Lordy this will be interesting, downloaded the Tagmo link at the start of the thread. Does it make sense that all the released Zelda (30th anniversary and BotW) return as Mario(LOZ) when scanned? SSB ones scan uniquely and the MM and SS dumps I got.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge running Nougat. Using NFC to scan actual amiibos

The names can be kinda messed up. Just make sure you're burning the right .bin file. I had my MM Link be seen as SSB Link but it works properly in BOTW.

Any recommendations how to be sure? Would it be best to just scan one, then write it directly so I don't risk burning a double?

I am doing it right though, correct? Use Scan Tag, tap it, then save tag to my phone?

You're not giving enough detail. Please describe what you're doing if you want us to be able to tell you if it's correct. The process to write a tag is from an existing bin file is Load Tag, choose bin file, Write Tag (Auto). If you're copying your own amiibo, Scan Tag, Save Tag, Write Tag (Auto).

If you did all the scanning first, I can see where it could get confusing if the names aren't right. If you don't remember which amiibo file is which, but you know what order you scanned them in, look at the time stamp at the end of the file name.

Is there an app or site to use to see what amiibo data is on a tag, when scanned you don't get a name like 8 bit link or anything like that is there a way to see what it is via the her code or the name tagmo saves as..

For any that may have issues with Tagmo unable to write to the nfc tag. I was having same issues. Turns out that holding the tag very steady once it is detected is very important. It just takes a few seconds to write to the nfc tag but during the writing process moving the nfc tag will result in a failed write and error messages. That doesn't mean that the software is buggy, it means hold the tag steady.

I seem to get better results hovering the phone above the tag while the tag is on some surface (table, carpet etc) and holding the phone steady soon as the phone detects the blank tag. Hope this helps someone.
