lol, if there wasnt the cycloevo. there wouldnt be 100% dlplay in r4/simply at all. remember a while back ago, there where no major updates for the r4/simply firmware. they just added a theme manager nothing else. since the evo came out the r4 team is developing multilanguage support and 100% dlplay support. now think. when no revolutionary flashcart comes out in the future. the r4 development will also stop! so stop fanboying and worshipping a team who only copies other teams.

Actually the R4 team has put out a number of updates since the theme manager was added. There was an update adding cheat functionality. As well as several updates adding things like the ability to delete files, and transfer and restore SAVs. I would venture to say that the R4 team has had the most updates of any comparable slot 1 device.

What's up with Rominator? How do you actually trim the freaking ROM with it? Do I HAVE to trim it straight to my flash card? I don't want to do that. I just want to manage my ROMs on the hard drive and I keep a separate folder for the trimmed ROMs.

I guess. But that's a severe waste of space. Supposedly, the R4 team is going to have a version 2 of their ROM trimmer, but who knows when that will materialize.
I used that patch also to get the firmware working on my Chinese R4 (I cant find a chinese firmware download ANYWHERE)
It worked fine on 1.10, so I thought it would work fine on this release. But it also crashes when I load games, and that gets annoying. How did you fix it?

NDS Manager (formerly DSX Manager) managed to trim without killing the download play, I'm not sure which source they used for their trimmer, but it should definately be investigated.
