Can i use a wolf link bin file from that iso site and max out my physical wolf link amiibo figure with this?
I heard you can't overwrite a physical Amiibo, but if u have TPHD on the wiiU, you can max out the wolf in about a minute.

Just erase the Amiibo data and then start a new game. Save when u can and then exit back to title screen. Go to start and select the new save file and before u confirm to starting that file, put the wolf amiibo on it and save the quick load data to it.

Now in botw, u will have 20 hearts without doing anything in TPHD!

From the OP:
Once an NFC tag is converted to an Amibo it's type can no longer be altered. For all intents and purposes it's features and limitations will be the same as a legitimate Amiibo
You can't turn one Amiibo into another, so you can't change one programmed tag into another Amiibo. They could still store different stats, or you might have a friend who could benefit from your mistake.

Hi.

Does this work for editing retail amiibo data? If so, how do I do it? Auto mode just crashes the app (2.3.3/4) or throw a error during stage 1 (2.3.1/2.3.x-gbatemp-fixed).

EDIT: Just in case, yes, I have the keys file, and I'm using the correct .bin for the amiibo I'm trying to edit. My guess is I need to use Restore mode, but I'm not sure. Also, I'm trying to edit my Wolf Link amiibo to have 20 hearts (too bored to play TP HD, sorry).

Quasi the Same question as before. Nope, once Tags are written they are like amoibos. Amoibos cant be changed.

EDIT: why the hell is my smartphone autocorrecting amiibo with amoibo?! Thats Not even a Word!

Was that to me? I need to edit the DATA(can be changed), not the amiibo identifier(can't be changed). Also, I'm not talking about tags, but retail amiibos.

Same rules apply. Once written the only difference between a Tag and a retail is the weight.

If you want to manipulate the "save" on the amiibo you have to look for another app. This one has some capability to modify super smash bros amiibos, but that function is really whacky. Havent got it to work myself.

I think it would be way easier to just scan the retail, save the bin and manipulate that and write it to a Tag afterwards.

I'm going to ask the obvious question. If we can use our nfc phones to r/w amiibo tags, why can't we just use the phone as an amiibo emulator? Say an app where you select an amiibo file then hold your phone over wiiu tablet/3ds?

Because a nfc reader\writer is Not the Same thing as a nfc Tag.

I mean i could be wrong, But i dont think you can emulate that with a smartphone with nfc.

Smartphones can also work as a "tag", otherwise sharing stuff between phones with NFC wouldn't be possible. The problem is Nintendo is really strict in what can send acceptable signal to the gamepad. That said, I don't think any smartphone could do it without a really ugly hardmod.

Nah, the OP clearly states you can use "powersaves" if you save to the same amiibo as the save (i.e., Wolf Link to Wolf Link). The problem is I've tested 4 different versions of the app and they all crash before I restore data to the amiibo. I'll try some older versions or maybe even the old PC method when I have more time, but now I'm sure what I'm trying to do is within the scope of this app.

EDIT: I'll also try hexediting the save to look like it was a backup from my amiibo.

So people reported that you can't restore a 20 hearts Wolf .bin to a physical amiibo but did someone tried @masterchan777 fork to edit a physical Wolf Link to 20 hearts ?
I feel like it could work by
  1. scanning tag
  2. edit tp data
  3. restore (write raw ?) tag
but I don't have one to try it yet.
I assume he made it for that exact purpose so it should work but nobody talked about it.

Yes, I didn't try it yet. I wasn't aware of that fork until now. Hopefully my NDK is still working and I can compile it fast enough. If it isn't good I'll report back in a few hours.

Pretty worthless without the "key files" it says I'm missing... Why release something broken to the public? Makes no sense. We shouldn't be required to fix it, when he could easily zip it in with the .apk.

the problem with all the tools where "the keysite" or the "keyfiles" are missing, because of copyright problems ;-)

you could be lucky that someone releases this here or better buy some real amiibo for 10x of the price and support nintendo ;-)

and for some ppl its too hard to use google and read some webpages for max 15 min :)

The app is not broken, the Keys are copyrighted material therefore cannot be shared with the program. There are multiple posts explaining how and where to get the keys needed, if you cant be bothered to do 5 mins work to get them then you dont deserve to use the program at all.

Also your post just sounds like you are a spoilt little brat who cant get his own way so is gonna take his ball home so no one can play.

EDIT: Just realised youre the Medicat disc dev, ive used that disc on more than one occasion. I cant believe that someone who works in the PC industry doesnt understand that the keys are copyrighted and cannot be shared!!!
