Would be neat to see if anyone made a snes to classic, sega to classic or now, n64 to classic controller port adapters or controllers?

8bitdo make a Bluetooth SNES controller and a Bluetooth N64 controller, both of which can connect to their retro receiver for NES Mini. From what I've heard their quality is close to the real thing.

Mmmm... Did you check in Quick Menu Options or inputs, the options you have selected?

Also maybe can be in the RA options (in the quick menu are the core options) called configuration If I didn't remember bad.

Rgs.
I have the same issue. I'm running all Neo Geo games via fbalpha neo, and I cannot find any way to access the dip switches. Looked all through the RA menus.

Has anybody gotten Metal Slug 4,5 or 6 to run ? Have been trying with no luck so far...

This got lost a few pages back..love Metal Slug..and my better 1/2...my g/f..and have been trying to install them..no luck..I have Metal Slug 1 and 2 running with mame2000.Metal Slug 3 with mame_mini (which I had to install it versus trying to run just mame2003).I have the bios_neogeo.hmod installed..with neogeo inside of it.Then have to have some Instructions to say put the neogeo bios in each folder.Some games on mame require you to zip the bios and the game together , then make a zip file out of it and load it into hakchi. There are 3 diff neogeo bioses out there that work for diff verisons of Metal Slug games. I have all versions of MS on mine except for anything past 3. Is it possible to load and play past 3 on this system,or Do they past 3 need an updated emulator above 2003 ??

I went into the RA menu by pressing SELECT+START+L+R, I forgot exactly what I did but I remember there was a setting at the TOP that said something about
test mode.. I think I went into that.. then you exit out of the game and back into it and u can edit the soft switch settings.

If you try and still can't figure it out I will try and get you some instructions.
Let me know if you can get me some instructions

Any reason why i cant get over 273 mb on my nesc with v2.14 ?
Do you have any save states? N64 in game saves? snes9x2010 saves? The games don't even have to be loaded onto the NESCE, as they are retained for later... The only way to clear them out totally is to do a factory reset. Maybe uninstall any unused cores...

Has anyone gotten Zelda Ocarina of Time to work? On my system it runs just fine but neither the in-game saves nor the save states work. Also what does xmb_assets do? I was under the impression that it changed the interface style of retroarch but it didn't seem to make a difference.
They (or at least the in game save) work if you upload the game uncompressed.

I'm a little confused by this..

Why do you have to "clear room" on the NESC if you're under 300MB? How much memory (out of the 300MB) are you able to load without running into problems?

I have 298MB full of ROMs on my NESC.. For Neo Geo I have 2 folders with (metal slug & turf masters in folder 1) and (metal slug 2 & baseball stars 2 in folder 2).. everything seems to run fine.. which
is why I'm curious why you need the extra space? I plan on building a Neo Geo/ Arcade only system and this information would be useful. Thanks.
I don't know what happened. In my first install on my new NESC, I loaded it to about 270MB with primarily Neo Geo games, and tested it. Pretty much consistently, the Neo Geo games under 10MB booted up fine, but the larger ones did not, so I assumed it had to do with remaining space on the system. But after a few more tries, and a different combination of games, I ended up loading it to 297MB, and it is having no problems. I have the original 30 as part of the main menu, and all extra games (CPS2/MAME2003/Neo Geo) in a different folder, and everything is running smoothly.

Sadly, finally playing these things isn't as fun as tinkering with them. Eventually I have to tell myself to stop tinkering.

N64 no-intro wwf war zone & penny racers, both run well

meh

im just happy to add

Street Fighter III 2nd Impact Giant Attack
SNK vs. Capcom SVC Chaos
Street Fighter III New Generation
Street Fighter III 3rd Strike Fight for the Future

fba core ^

RA > settings > video > bilinear filtering ON
makes games look so much better
Could you educate me on how to get Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike loaded and bootable? Do I need a CHD file and then a child ROM (sfiii3.zip)? Then what?

Bummer. I'll have to live with the "sweat"
Okay I figured it out. I was right the dipswitch options are not available in that core. Easy fix bro. Switch it to fba core :) it works and has the options. I did it!! BUT there is a huge glitch with this core or this core with just this game. But when using this core the reset option won't work! Home button or down and select. It just won't work. I have to push start and select to open retro to exit. Dumbbbbbb. I'll trade that for blood instead I sweat I guess lol

Btw, let's create some custom skins!

I made very simple tool pack to do it: http://clusterrr.com/soft/nes_mini_skin_hack.zip

How to use:

1. Make sure that you are using hakchi2 v2.14 or newer, install custom kernel using it.
2. Close hakchi2 :)
3. Run "fetch_original_skin.bat", it will download original skin from your NES Mini (you connected it to PC already, right?).
4. Edit "nes.png" file with your favorite graphics editor (but not with mspaint, it doesn't support transparency)
5. Run "make_skin_mod.bat", it will create your "skin_hack.hmod" skin mod.
6. Run hakchi2 and just drag-and-drop this "skin_hack.hmod" file to it. Install your skin.
7. Enjoy!

I just try the NESC mini skin hack tool, i have a Famicom UI dump, renamed it to nes.png and run the make_skin_mod.bat, after that i get two errors (something about gzip) and results in a Skin hmod file of 0kb. Have you any idea what is the problem ?

Folder skin_hack.hmod,
Edit with Notepad++ file install =

copy "$transferpath/pb224_skin_hack" "$preinitpath"
mkdir -p "$rootfs/usr/share/clover-ui/resources/sprites"
copy "$transferpath/nes.png" "$rootfs/usr/share/clover-ui/resources/sprites/nes.png"
cfg_skin_hack_enabled='y'
return 1

Edit with Notepad++ file pb224_skin_hack =

if [ $cfg_skin_hack_enabled == "y" ]; then
overmount /usr/share/clover-ui/resources/sprites/nes.png
fi

Edit with Notepad++ file uninstall =

rm "$preinitpath/pb224_skin_hack"
rm "$rootfs/usr/share/clover-ui/resources/sprites/nes.png"
rmdir --ignore-fail-on-non-empty "$rootfs/usr/share/clover-ui/resources/sprites"
rmdir --ignore-fail-on-non-empty "$rootfs/usr/share/clover-ui/resources"
rmdir --ignore-fail-on-non-empty "$rootfs/usr/share/clover-ui"
rmdir --ignore-fail-on-non-empty "rootfs/usr/share"
rmdir --ignore-fail-on-non-empty "$rootfs/usr"
unset cfg_skin_hack_enabled

Yes the code is just like you posted, but it's just not working.
