Nintendo looked to partner with Cyanogen for Switch’s OS, CEO told them to stick it.

While Nintendo was developing the Switch, they came to Cyanogen.Inc to try to work together on a new OS (operative system) for their new console. But as a tweet of the Ex Ceo of Cyanogen.Inc says, nothing happened because McMaster told Nintendo to “stick it.”

He also posted another tweet:

Those of you familiar with the Android scene know that Cyanogen Inc. is the company behind the Android-based open-source OS CyanogenMod.

But this wasn't the first rude comment from Kirt when being the Ceo of the company he also said things like Google being a “common enemy” and that they are “putting a bullet through Google’s head.”

This kind of rude statements and some very unpopular decisions gave them a bad reputation and drove Cyanogen.Inc to where they are; CyanogenMod is dead, Kirt McMaster is not the CEO of Cyanogen Inc. anymore, all services were closed some months ago at the end of last year, and the CyanogenMod OS has no longer official support.

A blessing in disguise? Maybe Switch users must give Kirk a huge thanks, because the Switch would have been released with a dead and unsupported OS. But Cyanogen's fate might have been different altogether if it had partnered with Nintendo...

But the tweet says "In the early days of cyanogen" and says "certain portable". I think this is referencing the 3ds. I don't know anything about Cyanogen's history though, so it could really be anything.

Well, I doubt that it is about an unofficial 3ds theme. He was the real CEO of cyanogen.Inc. Also all this came because he got questions about switch, and he also said that android for the switch was under consideration, and as all of us know, Cyanogen mod is android, so how he would know that if his company wasn't involved or at least asked to develop for the switch?

Damn, for some reason this reminds me about Phil Fisher as well.

Such stupidness, its like he draw a hat on Mona Lisa and said its better than the original painting and that the original creator should die.

Gotta say I agree with him and hopefully soon the switch will be put out of its misery.

Tell me you're joking.

Meh
Sounds like a stuck-up arse being a stuck-up arse.
or sounds like someone that doesnt want to risk being associated with a console that could fail again.

why is a guy/company an ass if they do not want to be part of a console and would rather carry on how they are.

Now that Cyanogen sold-out and went commercial, my phone no longer gets updates, and can't even get the last nightly since they shut down the site. Fuck the Cyanogen team. I loved what they used to do, now I hate what they're doing. Long-live LineageOS.
