Er… 2008 was 9 years ago. I highly doubt those tutorials are going to work.
Youtube discontinued support for *old* clients in like… 2014 or 2015? There's no way you're gonna get it working on a PSP.

You'll never be able to play YT vids via YT on a PSP anymore.
More powerful devices are already struggling with HTML5 etc.

The net is evolving, laptops that are 10 years old barely chug along these days.

Do yourself a favor kiddo and stick to your phone if you want portable youtube.

Yes, the net is evolving, but why not allow for at least some choice/option for the pre-2011 machines? Some sites still give an option for both older type dsl and dial-up connections. Really, why in THE FUCK IS IT THAT HARD FOR MOST BIGTIME MAJOR WEBSITES to even seriously consider adding a choice between "old" and "new" site layout!?

@Megadriver94 It's not just the layout that's changed it's often the technology that's changed, for example the change from Flash to HTML5. Now from a company point of view why would you run both systems side by side just to support legacy devices that are probably running outdated and security flawed OS's ?

Cause old devices are old for a reason.
It's progression of the future.

Well, I can see something in your point. However, security is not something that a company should solely care about.

Old doesn't mean bad. I can understand the vast majority of stuff from the 80s and 90s being all but officially discontinued, but 2000s already? What is so utterly hard about calming down the "everything going digital" and "quick to update" crazes at least a tad? :psp::unsure::bortz:

You are kidding right ? Security has to be the cornerstone of any website the collects user data of any sort. How would you like all the data you have ever created on the web, open for everyone to see at the click of a mouse ? I doubt that you would be too happy my friend.

Alright, I retract that part.

But to answer your question on a whole and in a reasonable way :

Given that the PSP runs on a MIPS processor at a max clock speed of 333 and has either 32mb (psp1000) or 64mb (2000 and later ) the psp doesnt stand a hope in hell of running YouTube in 2018. Tho if you are traveling you could always download and convert videos from youtube if you were going on a journey that said you would be better off investing in a cheap tablet.

I like older hardware as well but sometimes keeping support for those things is impossible.
Remember, PSP has a 333 Mhz MIPS CPU, single core.
Shittiest new android device has atleast 1.5 Ghz dualcore.
