Personally, I'd love to run Linux on it... When docked, it has USB and HDMI with wi-fi and optional Ethernet. It's got every basic computing need, so Linux would be fun on the Switch.
Meh, i'm only interested in Emulators (yeah, maybe some homebrews are fun, but i rarely play them)
Emulators, like many people still believe wrong, are not ONLY a way to play pirated Iso from a playing system on another, but allow new experience for old games.
Maybe when we was a child, we had played everything without any problems, but, after grew up, if try again an older games, maybe we find annoying long loading time (this is unavoidable) but what about the lack of save and checkpoints? But in the emulators, this problem dont' exist thanks to savestate (you can beat a final boss with 1 HP, but depend on the game lol), recording your gameplay and much more. And, for the people addicted to resolution, you can play older games with filter, graphic plugins and so on to give a new look to our beloved good-time games.
Emulation are my definitve game experience and all that i need are to have them on a portable device, up to ps2/wii emulation.
Who doesn't want his or her childhood game memories on the go?
No, a shitty $50 Windows tablet can't do more. It's a piece of garbage. Go play with Best Buy's cheap Windows tablets. They run like ass.
You can always inject virtual console, getting great compatibility and fast emulation...Because of emulators and Doom mainly.
Yes you can get emulators on a phone, but >TOUCHSCREEN<
With the PSP for example, I converted a bunch of my PS1 games over using homebrew and played a fuckton of emulated consoles like the GBA, NES and SNES.
The only actual PSP games I would play on it were the 2 GTA games, all of my playing time was with homebrew.
Virtual console is pretty unreliable when it comes to Nintendo, they're usually only like 30 first party games but never games I actually played back in the day or that I care about.
I have to disagree with that, I got a tablet for $60 and it's better than an old PC I had, it's pretty good for browsing besides the fact that there really are no good touchscreen browsers on Windows.
I got Skyrim running on that thing, obviously not as pretty as it does on the Switch lol but it ran.
The newer atoms I take it? Comparatively speaking, it's not better than the switch. Unless you count being able to browse the Internet as better.
What's the specs on it? I'm curious. :oWell, yeah, I said it isn't better. But it's still pretty damn good for the price tag. That thing does more than it looks.
