How to install and play Eur BotW

After you completed the following
MattKimura's Wii U hacking guide(you only need steps I-III)

1. Download the game files which contains 258 files, i renamed the '00050000101C9500' folder to 'Z1' (final version with the uncorrupted files should be 259 files, 10,551,280,012 bytes)
2. Download the .tik file and rename it to title.tik (be sure you have extensions enabled or you can mess up and rename it to title.tik.tik if your extensions are hidden)
3. Place the title.tik files in the game folder (you should now have 259 files with the tik added on)
4. Download the update (the one from MEGA) and put it in a folder named Z2
5. On your SD card you need to have a folder called 'install' where you will place the game folder and the update folder (name those 2 folders Z1=the actual game and Z2=update)
[Also installing on NAND is much quicker than USB]

6. Insert the SD card into the Wii U and turn it on
7. Run a CFW (Mocha doesn't require anything special to set up so use it if you don't have one)
8. Run homebrew channel → WUP install GX2 → install the Z1 folder first.
9. For safe measure reboot and repeat steps 6,7 &8, but this time install Z2, the game update.
10. (Optional) Go to your internet settings of the WiiU → your connection and change the connection SSID name by adding a 0, that way your wiiu isn't connected once you start your gameplay just as a precaution so your WiiU doesn't get banned!
11. Once both files are installed press home, exit MiiMaker, start the game and have fun

Error: If you get an error saying something about Sig patcher, you can download and install an app from the HomebBrew App Store under 'Tools' named 'SigPatcher2HBL' and/or 'SigPatcher2sysmenu', load them and retry install!

Enjoy.

Remember if you don't want to play this game using your WiiU pad, you can install HID TO VPAD from the HomebBrew App Store under 'Tools' and play BotW using your PS4 controller! (tutorial for that is also in MattKimura's Wii U hacking guide)

Also check out my mini guide on how to reduce frame-rate drop/lag in the game

(Anon from 4chan helped make this!, this is his discord https://discord.gg/ADxvY3h)
And a Special shout out to Frenchbro for providing us with the tik! :D

Hopefully it's not an issue with the game on Wii U in some way. I haven't had any problems playing until now. All my crashes have occurred in Kakariko Village.

There's no need to reboot. I just ticked both (game and update) in WUP Installer GX2 and let it run through. Worked like a charm afterwards.

hmm, I kinda thought it had to do with the update. But if it works like a free DLC, shouldn't it come with a "free" working tik once it's officially out on the eshop?
Just asking cause so far I haven't had any use for a CfW. I can wait another 3 days, if that means that I don't have to re-install the game or start over playing it...

im not so sure, since even the dvd needs you to install something from it, so i guess its just paid dlc included with the game
maybe even to make piracy more difficult

so i figured out you don't need sigpatches to install the game, you do need sigpatches for the update, so it must be in dlc format or something. where is the update from? ripped from the disk?

So, I'm an idiot and installed the leak despite the fact I play Smash online everyday and stream it against viewers. I played BotW with internet off last night, then this afternoon played Smash 4 online (I unplugged the HDD with the Zelda install). Of course, BotW is still in my play history. Should I pretty much say RIP to my account being banned, or if I remove it from my history now can I potentially be safe? If so, does anyone have a link to a guide on deleting game history? I'm assuming that would require further hacking

First of all big thanks to @Roxe__ and @MattKimura for their amazing and easy to follow tutorials!

Could someone be so kind to answer me the following question:
Am I safe to return to using my PAL WiiU normally once my copy of BotW arrives on friday? I wanted to test the WiiU version because of all the bad performance impressions on several places on the internet. Thankfully it seems fine to me from what little I played in the great plateu. I follwed the tutorials step by step, only using Mocha and WUP to intall it. Furthermore I set up a new account on my WiiU, not connected to an NNID. So since Mocha is only a temporary CFW, I should be safe to return to normal use if I delete the game on my HDD and delete the account I played it with, right?

As I said earlier Nintendo doesn't give a fuck about the activity log. Just don't let your Wii U connect to the internet while you play Zelda.
I don't think it even has online features but who knows.

I have a weird problem. Installed the game no problems. Did the update. Turned off my internet. Booted the game. Loading screen comes on. I need to press "A". A movie starts playing. In the movie there is a flash that turns my screen white (That is suppose to be there). But it stays white. No more sound. no error. Nothing. Any idea's ?

I missed that post, but that's a huge relief. Thank you.

This sounds like the Loadiine version where it freezes for 2 minutes (no joke) but as you wrote "installed" it seems you used WUP installer and that's really odd. You could either remove and reinstall everything or wait at least up to 5 minutes. Do you have enough space on your NAND?

@lordelan i used the WUP installer and had 15gb of nand space left before the installation. 2.2gb after the installation. Let it sit on a white screen for 20 min's. Nothing. I will try a reinstall!

edit: Also. Don't know if this is relevant. But installing the game using wup on my nand takes about 45 minutes. Is this normal?

YUP, you should be safe, not to mention you like you said Mocha is a temporary CFW. Idk why the others are making a bif deal about a temporary CFW that you have to boot up everytime your restart!

Well I guess depending on your SD card speed , the install speed should vary. Mine personally took 16-20 minutes tops! I would try to reformat that SD card of yours (and make sure it's on the correct format). But it should definitely not take 45 minutes, and it seems like it's an SD card issue, let us know what happens!

So small update. Just completely removed the game from my wiiu. Personal data, game and update.
Reinstalled it using that delicious mocha and wup. Also installed the update. Same problem.
Game boots. No problem. But after the flash it just stays white. Nothing more... Hope someone had the same problem and fixed it :)

Also: Update and game took 1 hour and 10 minutes to install.... And i do not have a cheap SD card. I have a highspeed sandisk card. Never had any problems playing other games.

Edit 2: The game seems like it is not crashed. I can still switch between tv and gamepad modus by tapping the gamepad. Weird.....

And you're sure you don't have the corrupted files? there was a corrupted download going around for a while! Maybe you can do what @torrentpal did?

Yes if you turn off your WiiU, since the CFW is temporary!

Only if you turned the WiiU off and started it again.

Hey man, you might need to redownload the files and start over again. Message me and I can send you a link to a new one.
