Looks like your Input dir is wrong. DId you put in the whole Path ? Like C:\\Users blabla you know what i mean :)

Same for the Output Dit put in the Whole Path to the Folders and try it again.

The command prompt was running from the folder containing everything so you don't need to put in the whole path. One of the few coding aspects I'm aware of since it's been that way since MS-DOS 5. It worked fine once I put a space between -in"Xenoblade Chronicles X [AX5E01]" and -out"Xenoblade Chronicles X Uncensored", and between the -out"Xenoblade Chronicles X Uncensored" and the -encryptKeyWith parts.

You had typed:
java -jar NUSPacker.jar -in"inputDir"-out"outputDir"-encryptKeyWith 12345678123456781234567812345678

It should be:

java -jar NUSPacker.jar -in"inputDir" -out"outputDir" -encryptKeyWith 12345678123456781234567812345678

I'd make sure to correct that in your thread, since most people, myself included, will just C&P it.

After adding spaces in the right places, it packed without any problems I copied it over to the SD, ran Mocha CFW and then WUP Installer. And then nothing seemed to happen... So, I turned off the Wii U, took the SD card out and put the Legit US version of the game that USB Helper gave me onto the SD to check if that worked. Went through the same steps, and it started to install almost immediately. Okay. So, I, once again, took the SD card out and put the Uncensored version back on the SD. Once again it seemed to freeze on install... but it didn't. It just hangs for around 2 minutes before it starts to show numbers other than 0/0 MB. It's also noticeably slower to install. Might want to warn them about that in your thread.

Anyway, long story short the install failed twice before I face-palmed and remembered to delete the existing game software. So, the uncensored version works fine for me! Now, Lin Lee Koo is no longer a SJW pretending to be a 13 year old mechanic/engineer but an actual 13 year old mechanic/engineer. No longer must she suffer under the yoke of moral righteousness or the fight for social inequality, she can now freely wear what she chooses with no one telling her that she's too young. LOL

Thanks, everyone on this forum.

Though, I do have a question/favor to ask. When the install failed before I deleted the original game software because there wasn't enough room, I noticed that the free space being reported was less than it should have been. It was saying that the Wii U internal storage only had 3 GB free before the install, with only Haxchi, Netflix, Youtube and the XCX game on it. Now, when I move EVERYTHING to the USB, it reports only 25 GB free, and 5524 MB free with Haxchi and XCX on it. Can someone who has a 32 GB Wii U tell me if this is how much should be free ? I'm worried that the failed installs left a couple GB of data on the internal memory with no way to clean it up.

Thanks for pointing out that typo. It's weired it didn't copy the spaces x-x And yea i even said in the Guide to delete the old Game first haha :) Otherwise it won't work since it uses the same Title ID for the Game as the normal Version.

Xenoblade is arround 20GB so if it is on your Internal Data right now 5GB sounds about right of left space yep.
Even when Games from WUpInstaller fail to install you can just rerun the Installer to Fix those Files so yea everything went perfect don't worry :)
Glad my Guide helped :D I enjoy having a Backup of the game like that rather than modifying the Game on the Wii U directly since i can simply reinstall the game like that and don't have to install the normal Version and then Mod it per WLAN which is also slower imo.

I have a question, well I downloaded a XCX EUR Uncensored & Undub ver. for loadiine, I used NUSpacker, installed the game in my HDD and it worked, is uncensored and undub.

So I changed the Code-Meta EUR folder for the Code-Meta USA folder, encrypted the game again to make it USA on my HDD and it worked the game is 1.0.2U, the voices are in Japanese, I can post screenshots on Miiverse but the game is censored :/ why?

Is the extra content (10gb) affecting the patch? Should I delete it?

Edit: Those 10Gb were the problem, now the game works fine Uncensored and undub from my HDD.

Hey, So I'm having issues getting the US version of the undub to run. I got the EU version to work though. So all you did was replace the code and meta folders of the EU with the US and it worked?

He said that he "encrypted the game again to make it USA." I think this means he dl'd the loadiine version of the EUR Uncensored & Undub from "That Site" and changed the name of the folder so that it was appropriate to the USA version, then packed it with encryption to be installed via the Brazilian Method with sig patches.

Basically, he skipped getting the JAP and USA version of the game, unpacking them, and patching the USA version. He just renamed the Code-Meta folder of an already unpacked and patched version of the game so that it would pack and install on a USA Wii U.

is the patch from @CXu better or from op @Haevens? Little confused because the cxu patch doesnt have its own thread or is mentioned in ops post...

Edit:

I've used the CXu patch which worked fine but I only get a black screen when running it with sig patches :(

I used the CXu patch as well, and it's working fine for me. This seems like an issue with the encryption when using the packer? I don't know for sure, I'm slightly drunk right now! Plus, I know pretty much nothing about coding. Whoo!

I've been non stop trying for 3 days all day long to find/make a undubbed and uncensored version of this game to play it on cemu without success so I give up. If anyone ever see this message and is willing to upload a plug and play version of what I'm looking for, pm me. thanks and bye.

Can you patch the loadiine format and then use NUSpacker to pack into WUPinstaller format?

I've been away for a while now and I'm probably late with answering some of these things anyway :P

Yeah, the patcher doesn't run without a source selected. I don't suppose you could alter that for just the Uncensoring? Not for me, mind you, since I'm already getting the JP version, but for others in the future.
Unless my memory is dead, as long as you put the chr_pc.cpk in the same location as it would be in the actual JP game, you can uncensor the game without having the rest of the game, as I only made it check if that particular file exists.

Does this also work with the PAL version?

I only want to get the game uncensored, so I just have to replace this file (chr_pc.cpk) in my USB-install, right?
This doesn't work, unfortunately, as you have to modify specific files inside the .cpk. The English version of the game looks for and loads files with the _US suffix to their filenames, so you have to replace those files with their Japanese counterparts.

Is there any chance of playing the Japanese version replacing only the subtitles of the American version?
This doesn't really work I'm afraid, or at least I didn't get it to work when I was thinkering around with it. You can add the English text to the Japanese version, but due to the font and how word wrapping works in this game, everything goes all wonky and you can't really read things properly. Furthermore, a lot of the text in menus etc. couldn't be easily replaced.

As for in general, the missing Lin jumping sound I tried to find, but couldn't really find it, and the English speech from the president is contained within one of the files in the ev folder iirc. You can replace this file with the japanese one, but then you won't be getting any sound from those cutscenes, most likely due to different filenames, and that isn't nice :P

Those files also seem to contain the lipsync information for the in-game cutscenes (the game seem to have two types of cutscenes, one which uses the regular game models as-is while the other has more intricate movements), so if anyone can figure out how to open them up to do some thinkering, it should be possible to make the whole game undubbed and with proper lip-syncing.

Hello, I'm trying to translate this game for português-brazilian, but I can not find the subtitles. I can not visualize them. I believe they are in the "bdat.cpk" file. I already extract the cpk file, but I can not view the subtitles with any Hex Editor. Does anyone know how to view the subtitles?

is this just a voice undub? or does it also uncensor things?
what are the requirements before I run the patcher? I need the eur version and the japanese version both on my computer and the patcher asks me where they are?

I assume if I use the patcher in the @OP and the eur and jap versions like the instructions in XCX_autopatcher.exe will that be better than just grabbing a pre-patched version that's a year old? have there been improvements in the undub patch since december 2015?

I remember the original pre-patched version being buggy at some points, but I don't know if that one is still floating around or if there was a new one made later. You can decide if you only want to undub it or if you want to uncensor it as well. I made an easier to use patch since the one in the OP gave me and some other people some trouble. You can find it here https://gbatemp.net/threads/xenoblade-chronicle-x-undub.405092/page-20#post-6351997

You will need the Japanese copy of the game as well as the EU/US version that you want to patch, yes.

How would one go around applying this to internally installed game, instead of a loadiine game?
I think there's some discussion about it in the last few pages? I haven't been keeping up with Wii U hacking in general, so I have no clue about anything other than loadiine. :P

Yeah seems like someone made detailed tutorial for it, I will try it when I get around to it.

True love, in tutorial form.
Thanks for this - it took some time but it worked perfectly in the end.

the vram is one advantage when it comes to AI but ends up being slower even with that and really AI is the only use case that needs more than 12gb vram right now

I think I watched a video where two games at 4K where eating just over 16GB of RAM and it's the one case where the 7900XT and XTX pulled ahead (minus RTX of course)

So my opinion is that they could age a bit better in the future, and maybe AMD will continue improving them via drivers like they tend to do. No guarantee there but they have done it in the past. Just a feeling I have.

but that game barely runs at native 4k

I think it was some newer games and probably poorly optimized PS4 or PS5 ports
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
they definitely will age better but i feel dlss might outweigh that since it looks about as good as native resolution and much less demanding

least amd 7xxx has tensor cores which the previous generations didn't so there is the potential for AI upscaling

i think i heard of that, it's a good idea, shouldn't need a dedicated GPU just to run a LLM or video upscaling

@The Real Jdbye, I could see AMD trying to pull off the CPU GPU tandem thing, would be a way to maybe close the gap a bit with Nvidia. Plus it would kinda put Nvidia at a future disadvantage since Nvidia can't make X86/64 CPUs? Intel and AMD licensing issues... I wonder how much that has held back innovation.
