Lol. Bowl up! Let us know your results.
Okay bro I have good news and bad news. Good news is that 16 is not the limit. What I believe the problem is in the GUI 4 save system. I just don't think it can handle all this. Reason being. I have 18 snes games. Donkey kong 1 and 2 don't save because of the type of files they both are. Only versions I could get and are different then dk3. And we're first games I tried. But I saved 7 snes games before I starting getting c4. Definitely know 7 would not be the limit. I believe the fact that I have 717 games is also why the GUI 4 save system can't handle it. Probably really can't handle 200 etc. But it doesn't bother me because i can stilll save the 8th game I tried that didn't work and the 9th through retroarch. if you start a game that's run in retro and you bring up the retro menu by holding L R start select then click quick menu and go down to save state slot and turn it to 1 and then click save state and exit out of game and then boot game back up normally and then right off the bat bring retro menu back up and click quick menu and load state. It works perfect. Worked with both games I tried after.

Your installation is identical to mine. Try to create 30+ NES (not SNES) save states now. That limit will also give you a C4 error with the NES games. There needs to be a fix to address this or maybe this is just max capacity? I was able to have 100+ save states per 30 games on hakchi 2.11 just fine. Very disappointing.

Retro Arch ave states work just fine on my end. The problem is C4 errors after a certain amount of save states using the NESCE's save state method of 4 per game. I am also unable to have more than 18 save states in my original 30 games before I get a C4 error. Is this a hackchi 2.12 problem?

This is totally a theory, but I think it's a memory thing. Every time we save a game, it essentially makes a copy of that game, right? Well, all those additional large files (SNEs) might be an issue. With the extra cores and games + art, we could be up against a memory limit of some sort.

This is a nice workaround, but it's not ideal. Too much like a RPi at that point. I'm just more curious to know what the actual issue is than I am in having a million save states (though more would indeed be nice).

Yeah that is disappointing. But games like donkey kong country etc have their own saves built in with the games just like a cartridge and they do work. As much as a nice save state anywhere you want is nice it's not nostalgic. In those nes days you couldn't save whenever you wanted. Had to beat a level or so to save and some didn't even have saves. None of this really bothers me as much cause I'd rather have a lot of games to play then be able to save every one at the same time. I have 3 nes classics. 1 new in box in my closet. One modded with just 680 nes games and I'm leaving that one alone and now this one with those 680 plus 37 other games. If I have to cut a lot of shitty nes games out for more room I will do that too. But if I really need to I can just cut nes games out and just have other systems :)

@condiczek @Cluster

That setup is exactly what I was looking for! This makes my life 1000 times easier, and I think that these options should be added into the official release! :)

But is it supposed to be actually working? When I try to sync everything I get an error. (See picture I've attached to this post.) The only thing that I think could be causing it is the following command line arguments that weren't there before:

/bin/clover-kachikachi-wr /usr/share/games/nes/kachikachi/CLV-H-SLKOA/CLV-H-SLKOA.nes

I've restarted the app twice as the popup states, but I still cannot sync with the NES classic.
It looks like sync is broken in second ver. Just set all to retroarch, double restart app, then replace exe with the first one which I uploaded.
You should have all nes games set as retro, changes should remain. Then make changes where you need individually disable retro and sync.

It's attached with post where is the picture
Unzip and replace 3 files in your 2.12 directory

I'm a little lost. I haven't flashed my mini since 2.04 or something. Now that 2.12 is out with support for retroarch. I've downloaded 2.12 and the hmod file.

Where does the hmod file go and how do we control which cores are installed?. I only want the full nes collection including exclusive pal roms on the nes mini. Is there a tutorial somewhere in these 200 pages between the 6 million nesito videos?

Hi ive done a basic guide, might be useful

How big how CPS2 roms? I thought they were smaller? one source says 23 MB other says 1.7 mb :S ?
I was gonna add neo core till I saw metal slugs game file sizes. When first 2 are a combined 32mb which means the other 4 are probably same sizes and then there goes like 80mb no thanks.
