Hacking Better flashcart than Sky3DS+?

So I've been using Sky3DS for the past couple years, and I've noticed that it no longer plays games released since ~2016 due to the newer anti-piracy patches. So I guess it's time to get a new card.

Can anyone suggest anything other than Sky3DS+? I've had no problems with my current Sky3DS, but maybe there's a much better card out there? I tried searching the forums but was having difficulty finding feedback about it.

Before anyone asks, my SD card is a legit Sandisk 32GB.
I currently have the Sky3DS with Bumblebee on it, and my 3DS is on V11.1.0-34U

CFW is better than the Sky3DS.
I seriously suggest checking out A9LH+CFW
You get far better support, features, ect.

Even with the sky3ds + you are going to be better off with A9LH + Luma. Sky3ds+ is pretty much the best working flashcart so if it doesn't work then no other card will. I recall sky3ds+ can be updated though so there may be a fix for the games that don't currently work.

As for flashcards and not trying to brainwash you into the master race, IMO Sky3DS+ is the best option rn.

Please don't hurt me for saying this~

if you don't feel comfortable with modding your system, the sky3ds+ is probably what you want to buy. It works, just a little pricey.

I still own a sky3ds but only for ninjhax to setup A9LH on all my 3DS systems. It does make the setup easier for someone like me that didn't have an exploitable 3DS game.

I can vouch for it being compatible with Pokemon Sun and Moon, i've used it myself.

Actually if I recall correctly they can't fix the patches newer games implemented with the blue sky3ds I have which is why they made the sky3ds+. This is why I decided to setup emunand then more recently A9LH.

Can someone explain to me exactly what A9LH is? How to install it and how exactly is it better than a flashcard?

Also, I have the freakyhax exploit on my 3DS if that helps

It's boot time code execution, basically when your 3ds turns on it patches the firmware, allowing you to install games to the home menu as if you purchased them from the eshop, and brick protection. It's probably a better option than a flashcart, but it's all personal preference.

tl;dr boot time code execution, free games without paying.

If you have kids or just hate anything less than plug and play piracy, sky3ds+ is a good option.

It's permanant cfw basically. It takes some effort but worth it if $80 seems a little steep for a flashcard.

I'd rather save the money, and I also have a spare 3ds lying around that i can try A9LH on in case something goes wrong. Can someone point me in the direction of an idiots guide to installing it? And do i need another exploit to install it (can i use freakyhax)? I've never done anything like this before so im pretty much going in blind

If you don't wanna risk it no one can blame you. The guide is basically perfect but during downgrades things can go wrong.

You are super behind on the times
A9LH is an exploit that is installed extremely early in the boot process. This exploit basically allows you to boot your CFW at an extremely point, before the NAND even boots to be correct. This basically allows you to use your sysNAND like an emuNAND and install games directly to your sysNAND with very little risks.
I already posted the link to guide to install it. And it's better than a flashcart for a number of reasons. CFWs allow you to boot use Homebrew without the need for homebrew launcher, install games directly to your system, boot programs like NTR for cheats, ect. Basically it opens up tons of options for your 3DS compared the limited features that Sky3DS offers.
