Maybe the previous user installed A9LH and never Uninstalled it, just cleared the SD card. Have you tried running a payload?

if a9lh is never Uninstalled, its shown @decrypt9 and system info "Running from arm9loaderhax:yes"?
but this case or 3ds "Running from arm9loaderhax:no" and cannot call payload + luma config
can anyone help ashitaka20 & me
im not try sysupdater yet, i have 1 3ds 9.2U(not reg change) with this problem and 2x 11.2 (reg change JAP->US)
tq

Because you're loading it through fasthax, not an A9LH payload. That's why I suggested trying the payloads to see if you already had it. "Fix your FIRM0 or run from A9LH" is basically confirming you have it......

If I power on with sd with luma, I can enter in luma setting when press start and power on. If I go to settings in 3DS I can see that I am in luma.

Could you replace the arm9loaderhax.bin with some other one from ctrbootmanager or decrypt9 or emunand9 or anyone not a cfw, if reboot leads you to a new menu, you already have a9lh installed.

To manually install any system file, you need to get a .cia of that file. You install it with a .cia manager. FBI is my goto. I haven't had to do this in ages, but in the past, I would come across a .cia that FBI refused to install, and in that case, I used devmenu / bigbluemenu.

But... this thread is now confusing me. I'm not sure if you have a9lh installed or not.

I think your firm0 slot is dead. Hence why trying to brute force an al9h installation ends in a brick(because it needs the firm0 data to load the payload or otherwise is just trash data).

What version is your 3ds currently into? Can you let us know?

Try the payloads as others suggested.
Download luma's "arm9loaderhax.bin" from http://3ds.guide and put it on the ROOT of your sdcard.
Hold select while you press the power button and tell us what happened.

Hmmmm. I wonder if installing sysupdater and updating to 11.2 from that would work/correct the firm0 partition.

If it was a bad uninstallation of a9lh (via dgtools) he should have a full brick, not a semi working system...

I suppose you could try to set up menuhax+emunand and have luma that way. But only do it as a last resource if no one else comes up with anything. Your full version is 9.2.0-20U, then?

In my case, only with arm9loaderhax.bin of LUMA in SD ROOT, appear the config of luma the first power ON. After if I press select also appear this menu.

Then you have a9lh.
For the payloads go to http://3ds.guide and download hourglass9, emunand9 or any other tools from the guide you might need.

Seeing as you're spanish according to your flag i can give you instructions a bit more precise on your language.
If after pressing SELECT and saving the configuration with START luma still doesn't start up, you have another issue somewhere.
But this would be a great start, download hourglass9.bin and rename it start_hourglass9.bin and put it inside (sd card letter name)//luma/payloads/start_hourglass9.bin

I'm going to use a little Spanish xD. Many thanks @ Alex658, how would you know if I have run luma correctly? If I go into options to see the version of the system, it appears in front of SYSxxx, that is to say the configuration has saved it correctly and I execute it without problems. What I wanted to do is create an emunand not to touch the nand and thus forget to install the A9HL (I wanted to have it installed just in case). Thank you very much again.

That would be correct, if SYS appears in front of the System Version i.e. Sys 11.2.0-35U that means you're running luma from a9lh and have ticked the option "show current nand in system settings" in the luma configuration screen.
You could create an EMUNAND, but that would be "wasting" 1gb of storage, you can achieve the same thing by making a NAND backup (you should do this anyway) of the console in your current state. So download the payloads i told you and i'll let you know how to make the backup.

Hi, I have just put start_hourglass9.bin inside payloads and create a complete nand backup with decrypt9 (I can open this with fasthax an then with safehax).

No...
You should NOT open those via safehax/fasthax.
From now on you should get into hourglass9 by holding the start button when you press power.

Don't use decrypt9 unless you know what you're doing. If you mess up you can end up losing a9lh and all hacks, you should use hourglass9 that protects a9lh so you don't lose it.
Hourglass9 is the safemode version of decrypt9.

No...

Ok no problem, I did not know the difference between one and the other, anyway I know the basis for installing the A9LH. I already have the exa copy and I am inside hourglass9.
