That's exactly it, Homebrew Launcher is down as of now, because the entry point was patched. Once we have 11.3 payloads, everything will go back to normal. Just...with less GW and RxTools.
everything else seems to work for me just fine. Cias at least. I don't use NTR yet but i heard that was updated already.

Hold X if you're using NTR CFW to force it to search for an update. CIAs should work ok, the only thing down is homebrew launcher itself, so any 3dsx apps for now are down.

I'm not using NTR i don't think. I'm not sure how too. I'm using A9LH+Luma 3ds. The only options i have to boot into is hourglass9 and luma3ds

I just had an idea.. (conspiracy nut detected lol)
Nintendo is doing the whole exploit bounty thing "find an exploit they don't know of and they pay you"
What if this firmware is just a test... and then once figured out there'd be one right after to lock out whatever we did on this? Sort of like playing a game with us xD

Ah, I see the problem. NTR CFW is an app installed via CIA, it's not an actual CFW (I know, so annoying to have to explain "NTR CFW" isn't actually CFW) it just runs on top of a CFW, like Luma.

I believe once CFW is on your 3ds there is nothing that can be done about it by nintendo. It's kind of like a too late type of deal xD

Wouldn't surprise me, Nintendo is pretty crafty sometimes...or at least they try to be. And RJC is right, once you have CFW you're more or less set. They'd be able to figure out how to block us for good, but more than likely, people who want to do CFW have it or are trying to get it now.

ah makes sense. I mainly hacked my 3ds for NTR but never figured out how to do it. Up until last night i was only ever using hombrew. I just got CFW on my 3ds last night and don't really know what to do first with it haha.

Google "NTR CFW", go to "releases" on github, download the newest one (2.5), and install it via FBI. Run it when you're in Luma SysNand and you'll be set to go. Make sure you run the 3.4 option in the Selector.

I'm sure in the future, there will be tools in which patch NFIRM to use a lower firmware version, to allow for DSiWarehax downgrades to be used with a hardmod.

But right now, there isn't. So until there is, DSiWarehax cannot be done. Just be grateful that it's not like the PS3 in where the firmware checker and MD5 are hardcoded to the CPU (which limits how low the firmware can be downgraded).

Error code 003-4099
I installed cia
So you're getting "Error Code 003-4099" when trying to update, are you updating games themselves or the firmware or what?
That Error Code is for being unable to connect to the internet, a quick google found that. Make sure you're connected properly?

Well it's pretty close. The NS Module now requires the latest NATIVE_FIRM to load, so even if you downgrade it, it's useless as your console won't boot.

So would you need to install an older home menu module when you downgrade?
No, I'm pretty sure the HomeMenu/NS Module has to match the NATIVE_FIRM either way or the system will not boot. It was confirmed in another thread where someone claimed 11.3 could still be downgraded. "Only two constants were actually changed: the minimal value required for the kernel's minor version number (now 0x35, ie. 11.3 NFIRM, it used to be 0x23, ie. 5.0 NFIRM), and the version number used for FS:InitializeWithSdkVersion."

I think that the Home Menu can run with an older NATIVE_FIRM, and that what requires the 11.3.0-X NATIVE_FIRM is the "NS" module actually.

To clear this out, anyone with a N3DS or O3DS that has Luma CFW + A9LH, it is completely safe to upgrade to 11.3! I have tested this on both my O3DS and N3DS for anyone that wants more in-depth explanations.

It should be safe if you have Arm9LoaderHax and you use the lastest Luma 3DS, but I think that all the *hax payloads are broken (by an intentionally fix from Nintendo to break them) in 11.3.0-X.

If Nintendo really was desperate to patch arm9loaderhax, it's actually not impossible to do so. What they could've done was implemented FIRM0 and FIRM1 checks in a newly created SVC 0x5A, and if they did that, then the Home Menu would not boot at all, nor would it's shell (aka NATIVE_FIRM) if it detected the payload files in FIRM0 and FIRM1.

But even if they did that, it would still be possible to restore a backup, because Luma3DS protects the FIRM0 and FIRM1. But here's the biggest question, what would we do if Nintendo patches A9LH in a future firmware update?
