Hello all,
I haven't installed the hack yet, and the reason being is because I am noticing considerable audio lag - especially on the Mario games that are pre-installed (but really on all the games). It's not a problem with my tv, I have it in game mode, and I've also ran Nestopia via retropie with no sound lag, on same tv, same input.
Does anyone know if the audio latency is related to the pre-installed roms? I've seen a few videos on here that people have posted with other roms that appear to be working perfectly, with sound synced properly (i.e., jump sound happens when jumping, not after). Am I missing something? I haven't really seen anyone else complaining about the sound lag on here, but I can really see a huge difference when comparing it to other emulators. Sorry if someone has already posted about this, btw.
Some guy put me on the trail of this hack or improvement of Original Megaman III, in this forum, Thank you.
Megaman III Improvement Hack Megaman III
Please, Enjoy!
This should give you some insight (see 15:36). It's just the way the emulator on the NES Classic works. It has some audio lag. It is very noticeable for some people like yourself, for others not so much like myself.
As I see it, it's the most noticeable, when you are very familiar with a game. The less you know about a game, the smaller is the chance you will notice sound effects being off.
Select stage on Mega man 3 shakes with original hardware as well.Does anyone know what is causing the shaking on the stage select and weapon screen (As well as Mega Man 5's stage start)? Roll Chan 3 doesn't shake, but Roll Chan 3 Improvement does. Is it cause by the Mini not being able to emulate something or is it a coding bug in the rom? It doesn't shake on the Jnes emulator.
No it doesn't. It's missing one pixel on the bottom 3 robots.Select stage on Mega man 3 shakes with original hardware as well.
NO, i (and many others) have pointed (several times) that even a EU mini nes uses USA roms! Playing EU roms, on the EU mini would result in games that are playing 17% too fast.I there.
This is ok with PAL roms? or its exclusively for NTSC roms.

And so many game genie codes would not work if somebody use Pal roms.NO, i (and many others) have pointed (several times) that even a EU mini nes uses USA roms! Playing EU roms, on the EU mini would result in games that are playing 17% too fast.

Found a new rom hack. This one takes the MM3 Improved rom hack and improves it more. http://www.romhacking.net/reviews/2465/#review
But how does one get it back to English? Any way to modify the French language patch to just change the mapper and leave the language alone? If you want rolling thunder to work, just patch it with the French translation patch from the romhacking site and the mapper will be changed and works for nes mini.
Hakchi2 gives warning about is mapper #64 same like the USA Unl version. I will try 2 in a few minutes. I'm flashing Now!If you want rolling thunder to work, just patch it with the French translation patch from the romhacking site and the mapper will be changed and works for nes mini.
Yeah I kinda felt that was too easy an answer. I guess the best thing for us end user types is just to wait for the professionals to solve it. It's okay, I got plenty to play right now anyway.Hakchi2 gives warning about is mapper #64 same like the USA Unl version. I will try 2 in a few minutes. I'm flashing Now!
EDIT: With http://www.romhacking.net/translations/1253/ doesn't work this patch doesn't change the mapper.
