So quick question. I installed FE:F through freeshop and the grabbed all the DLC through CIAngel. Do I apply this the same way or is it different for me?
It doesn't matter how you obtained the game. The method for installing the hack is the samd.
Hey, I was wondering if anyone could help me with the first part of the child characters guide--the part that reads "do the usual thing of dumping the romfs using braindump and extracting the files." There's a link to the thread about how to do that, but I haven't been able to find those instructions. The rest I can follow easily.
Literally from the first post: "Go the usual route for installing a HANS romhack. Once you have the extracted romfs you can just paste these folders inside of it. Caveats: Use this extractor or else the Japanese file names will become corrupted, rendering them unusable, and you can skip step 6."
"Usual route" are your key words here. Follow the instructions until you obtain the extracted romfs.

I even re-did the braindump and I still get that white bar on the top screen. I have no clue what I'm doing wrong. Has anyone else had this white bar problem?
Could you explain step by step HOW to? I've installed every different version of gay fates, birthright conquest and SE and I don't see the fabled green screen flash on the Nintendo 3DS screen. I've reinstalled ntr, I've done everything I can think of. Please for the love of God help.
I'll give the most detail I can.
I downloaded fates through freeshop, but it didn't come with DLC for any of the paths so I manually downloaded and installed the DLC externally, installing every DLC available. I essentially SHOULD have the special edition now. I'm just feeling super desperate because nothing I seem to do works.
I should add when checking the records library app on the 3ds it classifies the game as fire emblem conquest, no idea why.
I should also add when choosing branch of fates I have all 3 options unlocked (hoshido, nohr, or refuse)

Hi. I'm trying to use ntr for Awakening and the instructions are so easy I doubt I could screw it up, but I'm having an issue... I run NTR, then awakening, at the 3ds logo it flashes green, aaand... endless loading screen. Do you know anything I could do? I'm desperate.
BootNTR's recent update for 3.4 breaks Awakening and Fates's SSM hack. If you're using 3.4, try a different NTR version. If you're using a different NTR version, I can't help you.
First of all, downloading the DLC =/= the Special Edition. Second of all, please provide screenshots of your SD card root and your plugin folder (if you have one) otherwise I can't help you.
With help from a friend, I have finally gotten the hack to work! But now I pose a simpler question. I've heard it's best to restart the save file because the hack can mess with already established supports, especially marriages. In my current file, no one had been married yet. The only people who were close to marriage (like I just haven't clicked on their S support) were Silas and Azura.
BUT, the only abnormal thing I noticed, is that Azura is ready to click on the S support for Silas, but SILAS is ready to click on an S support with Felicia. Felicia has no notifications though. The only person I plan for Silas to marry is me, but is there going to be more problems down the road with other supports? Or is what already happened harmless and I don't need to reset? Does anybody know?

you can't get the special edition through freeshop since it's a cart only thing. You have to get a .cia from that cia site.
