You do realize that when you boot a GBA/DS/Dsiware game, your 3DS has to reboot right? This is normal behavior.

Sure, but my system doesn't freeze during normal boots / reboots. Nor is this an issue launching into DS mode with TWLoader. This only happens (inconsistently) when entering or exiting GBA titles.

The screen goes dark, the power and wifi lights stay on, and nothing happens for > 5 minutes. If I press the power button (not hold), the system will shutdown on its own after a few seconds, and when I boot up and launch the GBA VC title again, the SRAM will have reverted to whatever state it was in the last time I successfully exited from AGB_FIRM.

so i'm tired of having to boot to settings on luma, then change autoboot to sysnand on, then save then load sysnand, then go back to settings, turn off autoboot sysnand and go to emunand.

i read that holding L on boot will autoboot sysnand. mine shows garbage on the top screen, then an error has occurred screen.

using luma 6.6, a9lh version. not sure what is the problem. using the settings, autoboot sysnand works fine.

Hello, it's been a very long time, but I decided to pay a visit since I heard about all this CFW stuff and the interesting hack and undub stuff I could use to replay my games differently.
Still I was wondering, as I do own a new 3Ds xl with microSD card hard to access, what would be the best way to get access to it wirelessly. I saw FTBrony cia app; but was wondering if I missed another easier way (maybe in luma3DS directly ?) to do so ?

thanks =)

That's really outdated.
https://github.com/mtheall/ftpd/releases is the new version.
There's also a fork. https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-ftpdb-ftpd-with-buildtools.430464/
And there's 3DS's own microSD management app. I haven't used it so I don't know how bad it is.

It's a bit of a pain with XL, but with non XL it's pretty easy. I just don't tighten the screws. It's pretty easy to pop the back plates off. FTP sucks for large files, but I guess you can use FBI to install wireless.

The last update came out in November. If you didn't update before then look up a couple of posts and you will find the mirrors to Luma.

I was looking at some splashes and I noticed that some have things such as a bottom screen with a layout of different payload. One of them saying emuNAND, now what would be the benefit of running a different emuNAND rather than just using it like it is? Or am I missing something there?
Also, what I some payloads that I should look into? I'm still trying to learn more on what my A9HL+Luma3DS has to offer.

Hope i can get some answer here coz i posted this in 3ds noob paradise a couple of days ago and either no one saw it or cared to answer so i'll try here :P

Hey guys, been using Sky3ds+ with private header and ninjhax for a while now but yesterday i followed this guide https://3ds.guide/ since i just learned that 11.2.0-35U was compatible since new exploit was found recently.

So now that i have a CFW and a Sky3DS+, i have a few questions.

I know i was pretty safe with using online or eshop with my SKY3DS+ and private header, but now with .cia games i understand that no headers are needed as it use your console unique ID so you technically have the equivalent of a private header and shouldn't get banned using online. Now i'm not sure about the eshop, i have read that having come .cia games can get you banned or your .cia gets deleted/removed when visiting the eshop . . . is that why there is an eshop app in the homebrew starter kit?

Regarding the homebrew starter kit, it seems that a lot of included things in the homebrew channel are useless. Is there a place i can find a description of what each of those apps do in details so i can delete the ones i really won't ever need?

And regarding .cia games, what difference is there between 3ds rom converted to .cia or eshop exclusive .cia? I know there is legit and unsigned .cia but there is also cryptofixed and i'm not quite sure how i should deal with all of those regarding online and eshop use as to the risk etc . . .

Also since pokémon Sun/Moon roms still havent had their AP cracked by Sky team, does having a CFW helps me in any ways regarding roms i can run on the SKY3DS+ through regionfreelauncher, Hans or something else? I still plan to run all my current roms on my cart and maybe get a few eshop exclusive as .cia, but for cases like the newest pokémon games, would converting my 3ds rom into .cia be the best option?

If there is any really useful things i should install now that i have CFW, don't hesitate to recommend them and where to find them :P

Oh and is there a way to edit my picrite count in pokémon picross lol, i know i have the app to change the play coins already installed so i wonder if a similar app exist for this free game as moving the clock back and forth around midnight is a tedious way to get picrite lol

Can't think of anything else right now but thx in advance for the help and info as well as the time you take replying :P

Only if you're doing things that would normally brick your sysNAND or if you want access to different region eShop(s). All you really need is Hourglass9 and if you dump and decrypt games and such Decrypt9(WIP), but you have to be careful since it can brick your console. EmuNAND9 is not really needed anymore. Other stuff aren't really necessary and just dangerous unless you know what you're doing.

https://3ds.guide/ and all the read me/wiki for the tools that are linked to it.
https://www.3dbrew.org/wiki/Main_Page also has a lot of information.

Do we know when the release links will be fixed or when the next stable version will be out?
