Hacking Gateway and A9LH

My friend got a o3ds with gateway. Is it worth to use Luma3ds with A9LH? If so, what should I do? His sysnand is 4.1.0 but I don't know the version of his emunand because I can't access it, the blue card get stuck on the loading screen.

If they have a browser they can dg to 2.1 and get otp and then update to 11.2 with luma. You can then chain load gw so you can use both

So it's possible to use gateway on the last sysnand? Because the site says that it only works up to 10.7

You don't need emunand. You first need to setup a9lh with luma on system nand then you can chain load gw patched system nand. Make sure never to update the firmware in gw system nand mode

So, can I use gateway mode on sysnand like a CFW? If so, is it safe to update from Luma3ds without loosing the gw mode?

Yes you can load luma and update without issues. You can also boot between luma and gw on a shared system nand

You should never advise someone to use gateway on a patched sysnand mode. That is because gateway doesn't have firm protection. Keep your gateway on your emunand and follow this guide

But as long as I don't update on gw mode, it should be ok, right?

1. Format the SD card to remove the emunand on it.
2. Update your 3DS to 11.2.
3. Follow 3ds.guide to Install a9lh.
4. Use the gateway menu to create an emunand.
5. Setup Gateway to boot using https://gbatemp.net/threads/tutorial-using-luma3ds-with-gateway-on-v2-a9lh.431691/

I am currently running a9lh sysnand+Gateway emunand.

Just don't do it. If you are keeping your Gateway, then you should keep your EmuNAND. Maybe one day they will actually be competent and implement A9LH protection.

Ok, I installed Luma3ds with A9LH, but everytime I load the emunand it messes with what I installed in the sysnand. Any ideas what it could be?

You need to format one of them to "unlink" them as they are currently sharing the same folder on the SD card. Use TinyFormat on one of them.
