Homebrew ALL 3 Methods to get unbanned from recent ban wave

As far as hex editing the secureinfo_a file goes, as long as you keep the first two characters of the serial number the same (QW in my case), do I just make up some random serial? What is the brick risk associated with this if I'm on A9LH?

Just follow the regaining eshop acess and you should be fine just be very careful with modifying secure info A and follow the helpful tips I put in(The main thing is to highlight then type new one not deleate then type new one)

I've looked it over a bunch and understand it, I'm just curious if the serial number needs to be changed to anything specfic.

In your guide you give an example: ZX56823410
You're supposed to change what's only in the red

The new serial you provide: ZX67934521
What I don't get is where you're getting the numbers from. Is it just random numbers that you make up? Is it the serial for the target not-banned 3DS?

The numbers in red are random numbers they can be anything you want I just added +1 to my orginal serial (The orginal should be the one on the back of your 3ds). Yes that is to get a blank nnid save.

Ok, I understand everything now. I should be expecting my micro SD to come tomorrow, if not then Saturday. I'll update in your other thread how things turn out with if the ban will transfer or not

Off topic, but I wonder what the repercussions of doing Method 1 or Method 3 with someone else's serial number would be. I did some quick math, and there are only so many serial numbers to choose from. If there are at least 10 million O3DS systems (it's probably much more than that) with the serial prefix CW from North America, for example, and there are only 100 million possible serial numbers (CW00000000-CW99999999), then that would mean each person who unbans using Method 1 or Method 3 with the CW prefix has a 10% chance of duplicating someone else's serial number.

In other words, if only 30 people with CW O3DS systems unbanned using Method 3 and a public LFCS, there's a 96% chance one of them is using a legitimate user's exact serial number.

Yeah that could be true so if Nintendo banned those serials then legit users could get banned. So hopefully nobody who did this decides to cheat online or something.

No I don't think so if you change it back before doing transfer I think the ban will transfer but nobody has tested it so not so sure.

What is the exact name i need to use for the folder in method 3 step 2 It says "Then place the friend code seed B in the files 9 folder on the root of your sd card (Create it if you don't have it)" I have tried both "files 9" and "file 9" neither have worked.

Apparently I'm blind and can't read. I re-read the OP and i found the root of my error. I was to apply it to emuNAND because i do not have A9LH. I can now access online.

Just to clarify, has anyone been banned from playing the wrong-version Lurantis leak after its European launch? I only recently unbanned my 2DS from online, and don't feel like downloading a new 3.45GB file just to be "safe" about something.
