Hacking [Online] Savegame converter 1.0 alpha

Hey, great job on the converter. I'm looking for GDS file format conversion as well since I've got SAV files I'd like to play on a legit game. Just giving you some information that you might or might not find useful.

The GDS file that I get from a legit (untampered) save file is 18KB (for pokemon.) If you want, I can email it to you. It seems that other files can range from 1kb and up. Other forums say that GDS file is merely a gzip compression of a normal sav file with a 24 hex header on top.

24 bytes header is for DS-X, GDS uses a 256 bytes header

And you're right, this is a Gzip file with a header

I've managed to get the GDS file to work with gzip and a hex editor. It's a pain though.

Hexadecimal editing is not hard but boring, that why I created this converter

Yea I agree.. it's not hard but it could be a lot simpler with a one in all converter. Not to mention the gameshark device that uploads/downloads the save is dreadfully slow.. but that's nothing that can be helped.

Thanks a lot for this great program! Can you put Ewin2 support in it too? I'll upload some saves in a few minutes. They will be downloadable here. There's a Brothers in Arms save (BIA DS.sav), a Pokémon Pearl one (Pokemon Pearl (US).sav), one of Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam (Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam(EU).sav) and last but not least a WarioWare Touched! one (WarioWare - Touched!(US).sav). I hope you can add support

It will added at the next version. You can use NinjaDS format if you want to convert from/to Ewin2 format

Yeah No$GBA is the one format I wanna convert cos another emulator has better sprite ripping functions than No$GBA.

The Pokemon converter tutorial thingo didn't do nothing though, didn't convert and save files I tried very well.

My converter was offline because my webhost has expired. 10,64€ and it now works again :-D

I have not a lot of time for me, so now a developpers will help me for futhers versions, and will develop Win32 version.

In 1.2 will it be possible to take an R4 Pokemon Pearl save and convert it to a format that can be loaded onto a legit cart using savsender?

Is RAW format the same format that is stored on the DS cart? If so, then I'm thinking I'll be able to covert from R4 to RAW and then load the RAW format onto the legit Pokemon Pearl cart using savsender. Does that sound right?

R4 saves ARE RAw formats, just with added data sometimes so it is always the 512KB save.

Hey, is there any way to convert no$gba's save file back to my m3 Simply save file?

I have noticed that no$gba saves my save at 80.8kb and m3 needs 215kb save files. I have tried to convert my save for few days already with no success. Every time I try to load my game I get a error message, or my save file gets deleted. I still have my original save file on my cpu in case I cannot convert it back to m3 .sav. Am I doing something wrong?
