The H2testw files will not be 4GB (they should be tiny) but you said it had a problem writing?
When you say you fit 75GB of dummy files on it - were they able to be read when you put the SD card in a different machine? The way the fake cards work is they use some of your hard drive to store files beyond the real capacity (and appear on your computer as the full capacity), so whatever computer was used to write the files can't tell the difference. But when you try to read them on a different machine they'll either not be there at all or be corrupted (if part of the file is on the card and part on the hard disk).

right now i am going to test the SD Card and see if the files appear on my Tablet.

As for the problem writing files, ive been having problem writing stuff to other SD Cards in the past no matter if it's an 300MB or more. so i dont think i can use H2Testw if i do use it i would have to keep restarting H2Testw.

System transfer can be done using cosmo cfw with the secure a as the original and secure c as the region changed. It use to take a slue if NTR commands and was the biggest pain in the ass in the world

What does firmware.bin do?
I wanna test out slowhax however I'm on 11.2 A9LH, so I wanna know if there is a way to test it, is it just downgrade to 11.1?

Need some help here guys. I'm trying to install CFW on a 3DS XL on 6.2.0-10E. I've got as far as running the nds file off the flash card but I get a blank screen rather than booting into decrypt. I'm using the Decrypt 9 (MSET) tut.

The off line hack is the only option available to be because each time I try and use the browser hack, it promote me to update. Any help or advice with this will be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance guys

Hello,

I am just entering the hacking scene and I am looking for a good starting point to find out what I need. I am looking to purchase a N3DS (new and in the box) from the store. I take it, the n3DS will have 11.0 installed on it out of the box. What is a good tutorial I should read through on what will be necessary to install CFWs on it? (I've heard Luma3DS is a great CFW to install).

And 64gb fat32 64kb cluster aint a problem right? Im just not sure since I dont believe most users have used this format. (Its formatted for sky3ds atm)

I got Super Mario Maker 3DS through the Freeshop. Game is saying there is an update available. For Freeshop games, how do I go about updating them if need be? Do I just go through normal eShop? Thoughts and help appreciated

Does anyone know why some, I dont know how many are affected or why, but there are a bunch of people ive read about that have followed the 3ds guide to the letter and still gotten their consoles bricked.

It seems "bulletproof" if you do exactly as instructed, but what i noticed is that it isnt all newbies that got the brick (black screen) but also experienced people and every case ive read about its the N3ds and same people got no problems with the old.

Anyone knows what im talking about?
Should I consider sticking to my sky instead? Since these bricks seems to be random at best?

The only rare random bricks were caused by OTP less and since the cause couldn't be determined and fixed it was removed from the guide. Now, the only bricks are due to user error. If you do exactly what the guide says you won't brick.

Earlier today, I asked on here how to update games from Freeshop... game in question being Super Mario Maker 3DS. Anyway, I am wondering what the game update does, if anything. I don't really go online with 3DS games, would I gain much with that update? Also, how are items unlocked in SMM 3DS? Is it similar unlocking like the Wii U version where you just wait it out? Thoughts on all this appreciated

You launch the game and update it from the update notification you'll get.

I have an O3dsxl that has ARM9 and LUMA and everything is great!

Now I have a new 3ds xl that has 11.0. I tried Plailect's guide for downgrading with 2 3ds's and
got stuck when I tried to run Steelhax I would get a payload error. I tried the old and new Steelhax
with no luck. Now I had purchesed Legends of Exidia on my sourse (O3dsxl). I gave up and decided
to wait for slowhax.

While waiting I bought a soldering Iron (with no soldering exp.) and thought I would give a hardmod a try, but didnt.

Now I have a n3dsxl with 11.0 and want to use slowhax but now I need to know how to get Legends
of Exidia to my n3dsxl without upgrading to 11.2?

Any help would be great!

Use httpwn to do a system transfer from your old 3DS. You'll still need to access homebrew so if you can't do that you can't do anything sorry. To the poster above, it had been removed from the eShop so...

I just got my copy of Freakyforms Deluxe in the mail today. Should I follow Section 4 of the DSiWare Downgrade plailect guide for my N3DS XL being stuck at 11.2 or just wait for Slowhax/waithax to bring full support for it until release?
