Nice suggestion Brenex.
I have one myself that I've seen requested before. Instead of having to delete a rom to remove it from your library list, it would be nice to have the option to simply remove it from the list without deleting the game. I've tried to remove roms before and only ended up deleting them from my hdd.
Suggestion: When you hit the red X, a dialog asks if you want to remove the game from the list, or delete it permanently
But um, I'm having that database update problem I keep reading about (where users write that deleting the settings then re updating allows the renaming etc to work again) But I can't find the settings. I've searched my entire computer for .rsd files and can't find but like one, unrelated to Rominator (I'm using XP). I'd appreciate any suggestions
Nice icons salamence
Edit:
I forgot about this problem I always encountered because I've changed my flash location to desktop so I don't get this notice/error dialog anymore when I start Rominator that says no flash drive in whatever location, please insert it, and it will have a 'cancel' 'try again' and 'continue' button. When I used to have my flash drive location settings set to my actual flash drive, but didn't have my card in the reader (because how often do we really have it in our computer and not our NDS), this dialog would keep coming up, no matter what one of the three buttons I hit, until Rominator crashed.
Suggestion: Maybe not check to see if the card is in the reader when the program starts. Do that check when it's necessary (life if I hit the flash drive button in the program, which already checks I know)
I'm not sure if you follow along, but this feature to remove from the list is already available
If you hold Shift and press the delete button, it'll remove the game from the list. However, this'll be switched with v4.0, you don't have to hold anything when deleting to remove the game, but if you hold Shift and press the delete button, it'll prompt and allow for total deletion off your drive.
The settings is in C:/Documents and Settings/~Your User Name~/Application Data/Rominator Data. Application Data is an invisible folder, so make sure you can see invisible files/folders.
Again, it's already been mentioned SEVERAL times regarding the flash card prompting for a flash card in the card reader, and I already know about it. This is because Windows is looking for the card data if the drive is mounted (aka Windows sux) and won't stop until it finds something. How stupid. Either way, I'm trying to find a workaround -- if any. Might have to add a manual-scan of the flash location for Windoze users.
@Brenex:
I was thinking about it, but again it would cause problems with the above about the drive existing but nothing in the drive, so I opted against it.
@salamence502:
Still not quite what I'm looking for
It's too complex, and doesn't look good when scaled down. Regarding making skins, I posted the link to the Skin Designer a while back -- I'll put it in my sig. It's easy as pie -- click on the areas to change the pictures, save your skin, email the skin to me, I put it in the online database
