No, you need an actual Wii System Menu v4.3 app to extract CSM themes.

thememii tools dropdown has a "download base app" just select 4.3 USA

, so first i need to download the base app, then convert the CSM to mym with this base app,later i need to convert again with the Vwii base app to CSM, right?

isn't that to redNAND? the outputted file was/is the same size as the fw.img I use for redNAND.

Not if you type "make cfw" instead of just "make", then it will compile a fw.img for sysNAND.

Just use ThemeMii to inject themes into your vWii system menu app. I wasn't aware that that application had the ability to do that.

The vWii system menu app can be found on your Wii U in this folder:
/slccmpt01/title/00000001/00000002/content/

On NTSC consoles, you're looking for 0000001f.app
On PAL consoles, you're looking for 00000022.app

i did some tests and the disk channels will need to be fully remade for every theme however real life got in the way and i got sidetracked

I've been having some trouble getting this to work on my end. These are my current steps:

Dump the original 0000001f.app (NTSC) file from the WiiU using FTPiiU Everywhere
Open Thememii MOD 0.4 and open the .mym file
Click "Create csm" and select the dumped .app file
Save the created .csm file and rename it to 0000001f.app
Upload the .app file to the same folder as the original using FTPii Everywhere

Doing this and going into the vWii shows no change and the original theme is loaded without issues. I've tried the red and blue DarkWii themes to no success even though both new .csm files show an increased file size. For further reference, I'm running Haxchi 2.5 with Mocha 0.2. The vWii was originally hacked via the Smash Stack method but the only changes made are those mentioned in the definitive guide. Thanks in advance.

If I use mymenufy and use a theme for the wii 4.3 that works, would I be able to do the same on vWii now?

Before I read this, I accidentally loaded the wrong .app into my vwii. Now I can't open anything (channels) but I can via hbl2hbc on USB loader GX. I got 0000022.app from my wii u to try to reverse it, but nothing changed! Anyone have a spare 0000022.app or will that still not work?

@diddy81 any ideas?

if the only thing you changed was the theme replacing it should fix it
if you have a backup 22.app you just need to install it with wupclient or FTPii U Everywhere
