all one has to do is own two vitas (one on 3.60 and one on latest firmware), get into IDU mode on the 3.60 vita, activate on the latest firmware, swap memcards, copy over the act.dat and registry and share it here for everyone. I actually do meet these requirements, if this is requested I'll do it in the next few days
Sure xy2, that would be great if you could, thanks. :)

Per the previous post, it appears weejiguan on /Vitahacks is doing the same. However, the more testing/confirmation we can get, the better.

What you need
Vita/PSTV 3.60 TaiHenkaku ( beta.henkaku.xyz )
VitaShell 1.42 ( https://github.com/TheOfficialFloW/VitaShell/releases )
AdrenalineEasyInstaller ( http://www.mediafire.com/file/woe2cjy7u0c8weo/AdrenalineEasyInstaller.vpk )
Vita-IDU ( https://github.com/xyzz/vita-idu/releases )
Package Manager( http://www.mediafire.com/?0qtmiv5sasr8hdm )
661.PBP ( http://www.filecluster.com/downloads/PSP-Playstation-Portable-Firmware.html )
QCMA ( https://codestation.github.io/qcma/ )
NA ( http://zeus.dl.playstation.net/cdn/...GS2kHjqiIFYGw3BLuEXbwX6I1YQGJHNuF3n2UqMpT.pkg ) Guide uses this as a base. change the title id and license file accordingly. upon installing the package an existing license file will give you the correct name to name ur vitashell rif to and replace it.
EU ( http://zeus.dl.playstation.net/cdn/...ptjJAGS6r3u5Fo9hCe2jBx2r5rYbDBeiCUI3r037G.pkg )
FTP Client (FileZilla) ( https://filezilla-project.org/ )
DB Browser for SQLite 3.9.1 ( https://github.com/sqlitebrowser/sqlitebrowser/releases )

Steps

Step 1: Install QCMA, FileZilla, DB Browser on ur PC. Place the package file in the designated qcma package folder. Default is Documents/PSV Packages
Step 2: Install taiHen and use Molecular Shell to install VitaShell 1.42 if you haven't already
Step 3: Reboot your Vita, install taiHen again, and open VitaShell to gain access to all files.
Step 4: Start an FTP server, and place 661.PBP in ux0:/pspemu/adrenaline
Step 5: Go to ux0:/license/app/VITASHELL and download the license file to your PC
Step 6: Rename that license file to UP1023-NPUH90046_00-0000000000000002.rif
Step 7: Install Easy Adrenaline Installer
Step 8: Install Vita-IDU
Step 9: Setup the package manager. Use filezilla to transfer the files you downloaded to vs0:/app/NPXS10031 Replace all files.
Step 10: Copy app.db from ur0:/shell/db to ur pc and open it in DB Browser. Follow this guide ( http://hackinformer.com/PlayStationGuide/PSV/tutorials/how_to_create_the_pkg_installer_bubble.html )
Step 11: Upon replacing app.db reboot the system and start up taihenkaku.
Step 12: If you haven't done so already, link ur Vita/PSTV to QCMA. Then launch the IDU app and enable idu mode. Disconnect from the internet and reboot. This is a must or it will attempt to auto update.
Step 13: Once booted hold L(L1),R(R1),Up DPad,Start until demo disappears. This lasts 5 Minutes so be quick. Connect to internet and Open Package Manager
Step 14: Select the package file and install it. If you followed these instructions to the fullest it should succeed.
Step 15: Install taiHen and launch IDU app and disable idu mode and reboot.
Step 16: Install taiHen and launch VitaShell and start the ftp server. Copy the license file from your pc from Step 6 to ux0:/pspemu/PSP/License Replacing the one thats already there.
Step 17: Exit VitaShell and Start the Easy Installer and select NPUH90046 to install it to. Let it reboot. Power off and boot into Recovery and rebuild database as a safety measure.
Step 18: Install taiHen and boot Adrenaline. It should boot assuming everything went smoothly.
Step 19: Enjoy

If anybody wants to rewrite this feel free. I pieced together various info from several guides and don't really feel like doing it all proper like. This removes the need of PSP/PS3 so should help anyone who missed the PSN Deadline.

I'm finally get to do this but can't overwrite the Package manager files even with FileZilla. This is where I stuck.

Anyone tried this if it works? Someone posted on r/Vitahacks a guide for running Adrenaline using a dummy PSN credentials for unactivated Vita.

I bet this is the r/vitahacks article you are talking about:
https://m.reddit.com/r/vitahacks/comments/5fjirv/guide_for_getting_psp_demo_without_psn_access/

Looks promising, but seems like they are looking for what you might call "lab rats"(testers) and one of the guy that did this method rendered his vita semi unusable, I'd wait to see how many have succeeded using this method, the guide also mentioned "I'M NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR WHATEVER HAPPENED"

I am unactivated currently and as desperate as I am to get adrenaline working I think I will wait, nonetheless it is a step forward, thanks for sharing this info.

I agree. Also not comfortable using other people's psn account even if its a dummy. But still if his method of how he “obtained” the id.dat and act.dat is revealed then it will greatly benefit the conmunity as I have done basically the same process using my activated id.dat and act.dat but it didn't worked. So if the whole thing is legit then what makes his id.dat, act.dat and locoroco qcma backup special I wonder.

Guys, I want to thank mummysboy & Du'Islingr all of their work for the community and did their best to solve this problem about the PSP CFW. I CAN confirm these methods are working, my Vita is in my lap running Adrenaline. Let's update our game library.
Thank you guys!

Thanks!

Does the history of accounts your Vita has been tied to (i.e. the account it was signed into before you inserted your memory card) matter?

Like if I was previously using say account1@gmail, then my Vita formated, can I install a demo downloaded on a PS3 with account2@gmail?

No, they have to be using the same account.

So for your example, your PSTV and your PS3 must be using [email protected]. Otherwise the game wouldn't even transfer.

My PSTV is currently unactivated. It was formatted by accident this morning. The account it had linked to it previously -- and I assume "traces" of it are still in my system -- was account1. My PS3 still has account1 on it (account2 is just my throwaway in case of ban).

So at this point, can I use account1 to transfer a demo to the PSTV?

Or are you saying I need to activate my PSTV with this method and then transfer:

You can still switch accounts without updating the Vita, just factory reset it from the recovery menu and then while setting it up (without connecting to the internet) you should be able to link your throwaway PSN account.

EDIT: But if you don't want to bother with that, you can still use account1 as long as it's linked on your PS3.

(I may have edited my post since you typed that reply).

Yeah I'll try to use account1 to transfer the locoroco demo.

But if you could explain again: if my Vita is currently unactivated, then how will it even know that it is using the same account as my PS3?

Ok, now I'm a little confused. When you say you formatted your PSTV, did you mean you just formatted the memory card or you did a factory reset? If you just formatted the memory card, the account you were using beforehand will still be there.

If you did a factory reset, then you should have been prompted to login to a new account when you did the first setup of the PSTV. If you didn't do that, just do a restore back to factory settings and link your account.
