Thanks for this homebrew! I used the controller part for a few hours playing Super Tux Kart on Ubuntu and everything works flawlessly with an unnoticeable latency :D
I was wondering, do you ever plan on adding the new HID (C-Stick, ZL, ZR) of the N3DS to this homebrew? It would be super nice to use the real C-Stick to control the camera !
Also, I thought of a possibly useful feature: adding a button in the down-left corner to disable the two screens while playing and when they are disabled re-click this corner to re-enable them. This could save battery life and reduce screen burn-in!
Also, I noticed a tiny little bug while using the CIA version: When you go back to the home menu while having the console connected to a server and you quit the application, it stays on the Quitting Software massage until you stop the server. I think the the correct behavior would be the console killing the connection and leaving.

Hey guys, Mac version is discontinued or something? (link is dead, and version is lower than for other platforms)
Is there any good alternative?

A little update 0.6.0a. It can use cstick in mouse mode.

Not afaik. Old version should still work tho.
I reupload edpJoyMAC042:D. it is compatable with 0.6.0.

Would really love to see this working for Dragonball Online Global Server Revival (www.dboglobal.com) Can already use it for the mouse (A,B,X,Y &R) (so that's movement and camera working)
would love to see more compatibility with 3DS -> Keyboard Bindings (up presses up, down for down, left for left, right for right, keyboard buttons for a,b,l,r,x,y,start, select. Move mouse/Camera with Analog pad/C-Stick (set analog/c-Stick to camera control/Mouse Movement, Right Click with R, Left Click with L,
etc.
These function have been used in a build of 3DSController i found, so i know the bindings are possible.... however, with 3DS controller, (i have two set-ups, one for gaming, one for pc keyboard & Mouse...Neither work with DBO) i can input the controls with the keyboard to the corrisponding bindings, but it wont recognise 3DS input... Not even the pc mode. Although, using your app, i can control the mouse with the abxylr buttons ... but it's the only option i can get working.

edpJoyWIN061 can adjust mouse,keyboard binding by config_pressX.txt.

Sadly .kext file (driver) not working on macOS 10.12.
PM me if you want me to test smth out.
thank you. :)

Link for 3DS is dead. Trying the slightly older version on Android but there's no touchscreen (causes crash sometimes even) and there's no support for: circle pad, ZL and ZR, C-stick, really want this to work with Retroarch, but it feels so limited right now.

I just downloaded edpJoy3DS062.zip from the zippyshare link in the op. First click on zippyshare's "Download" button opened a tab for a broken advertising link, but second attempt downloaded the file immediately, give it another go.

Edit: fuck it, attaching it to this post just in case.

I want to clarify that I'm not crazy, the link was broken or dead before, but you're thankfully right, it's functional now!

both of which work well in potplayer

amd is a bit cheaper though
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Cheaper and they are less stingy with the RAM not a big issue now but I can imagine in a yard or two things might be different
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Year not yard lol
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
the vram is one advantage when it comes to AI but ends up being slower even with that and really AI is the only use case that needs more than 12gb vram right now
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Interesting lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think I watched a video where two games at 4K where eating just over 16GB of RAM and it's the one case where the 7900XT and XTX pulled ahead (minus RTX of course)
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So my opinion is that they could age a bit better in the future, and maybe AMD will continue improving them via drivers like they tend to do. No guarantee there but they have done it in the past. Just a feeling I have.

cyberpunk at 4k without DLSS/fidelityfx *might* exceed 12gb
    +1
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but that game barely runs at native 4k
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think it was some newer games and probably poorly optimized PS4 or PS5 ports
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
they definitely will age better but i feel dlss might outweigh that since it looks about as good as native resolution and much less demanding
    +1

When I played Cyberpunk on my old 2080 Ti it sucked lol
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
AMD could introduce something comparable to DLSS but nvidia's got a lot more experience with that
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
least amd 7xxx has tensor cores which the previous generations didn't so there is the potential for AI upscaling
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
They have FSR or whatever it's called and yeah it's still not great
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
so AMD seem to finally be starting to take AI seriously
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Oh yeah those new 8000 CPUs have AI cores built in that's interesting
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Maybe they plan on offloading to the CPU?
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Would be kinda cool to have the CPU and GPU working in random more
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Tandem even
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i think i heard of that, it's a good idea, shouldn't need a dedicated GPU just to run a LLM or video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the nvidia shield tv has AI video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
LLMs can be run on cpu anyway but it's quite slow
