He was also replying to another person saying to use freeshop to which he said that maybe everyone isn't able to downgrade at the moment

I created a thread telling them to change or upgrade forum software. Thread got deleted and recieved an alert from a mod and an admin with no reason behind it. k

Server backup looks like October, looking at the links. I say change your passwords and grab all you can and then leave because the same vulnerabilites are gonna exist. There is no honor amoung thieves
While nothing is un-hackable, I assure you chaos staff are MUCH more intelligent than ISO stuff (not to mention a lot more friendlier and open minded). Chaos sites software were all changed to xenforo (same one gbatemp uses) specifically for this problem. Gbatemp fell for it a few years back, and chaos sites learned from it.
Lon story short, gbatemp and chaos sites are safe from this nonsense. If any of them do get hacked at some point, it would something totally different, and definitely much harder to achieve than this stupidity. ISO guys have no one to blame but themselves for using vbulletin, and not taking any action since the breach was announced.
I don't want to make this post sound like an advertisement, but I think it's necessary for people who have doubts about chaos's security:
Also just for the record for new members, your password is not stored in plain text, or even md5 like that other site. It's way more secured and hashed, even I can't see the password in plain text no matter what I try. That is the power of XF. Not sure which iso site you are talking about as I just checked 2 sites and they are both fine and still full of ISOs/ROMS.
I don't see why hackers even bother to grab that iso site's databases anyway. It has over 200k members, a large majority of which are fake accounts with one use passwords and fake emails. The most valuable data in there is the IP and unless you're known around the internet that can't really be used against you either.
