First; what is your entrypoint? Menuhax, A9lh, browserhax, MSET?Hio, im on cakes.
Is there a guide to keeping it but installing Luma so i can play my cartridge?
Uhm...
I'm using emuNAND via rxtools on my O3DS (latest RX firm on emuNAND, 4.5 sysNand) with mset exploit (Nintendo Profile Exlpoit) and I got the same error message on both cartrigdes (ORAS cartrigdes are working, so does my translated MHX version). Is there way to keep the mset exploit for Luma AND rxTools? I want to keep rxtools, because of my savegames and stuff... didnt find anything on this on the Luma wiki. Or will it be fine setting up another exploit just for Luma?
God, damn.
Edit: Ah. And I read on the Luma Wiki that I would need a DS flashcart, is it really neccessary?
There are various ways of installing mset.
ds cart (specific payload.nds, or cakesrop.nds + ropCustom.txt)
browserhax (specific payload, or code.bin + ropCustom.txt)
FBI 1.x and some FW like Cakes
browserhax can be used both for installing mset, or as an alternative entry point to mset, so you can keep one cfw on mset, and use browserhax to boot the other. Without a ds cart or FBI on sysnand, you will need internet to switch between msets.
Thx for the answer. But in the meantime I read some tuts about easily switching from rxtools to Luma (using mset exploit on FW 4.5), but it did not work, so I had to go back to rxtools, meh. Now I'm waiting for an answer in the Official Luma3ds thread.
I'm also thinking about setting up another exploit (but no armloader9hax, fuck with that setup lol) BUT that would mean, I would use another emuNAND right? I don't think I got enough space on my 16 GB SDHC (only 4,8 GB left).
RXTools does not work with the latest Pokemon (Sun/Moon) because they require the 11.0 NATIVE_FIRM, something RXTools is not running. You will have to set up a CFW that supports new NATIVE_FIRMS, such as Luma3DS, SaltFW, Corbenik, or CakesFW NightlyHello gbatemp community! I have been reading through this thread trying to get an answer to my problem, but unfortunately I don't think I have enough experience in 3ds tweeking to understand exactly what I need to do, so here is a quick description of where I am and where I want to go...
Basically, I have an an o3dsXL on sysnand 9.2 that I have been using with the sky3ds+ to play all the 3ds games that my heart desired. I boot into rxtools by holding the R button as soon as I turn the system on, which automatically gets me into my emunand (RXE 11.2.0.35U). Up until this point I was able to play retail games with no problems (i have retail cards of pokemon y and pokemon AS that work just fine). However, when I went to play my new copy of pokemon moon a few days ago, it tells me the card has been ejected.
I want to end up with a similar setup to what I have now because I like the simplicity of just holding the R button to get into cfw, but I also accept that I might have to upgrade some stuff to get moon to work, can anyone shed some light on this?
The Sky 3DS+ doesn't currently support Pokemon Moon. You'll need to wait for an update or install it as a CIA, switching to Luma 3DS if there's trouble.Hello gbatemp community! Sun and Moon works fine with rxtools dont know where you are getting your info but you are wrong.RXTools does not work with the latest Pokemon (Sun/Moon) because they require the 11.0 NATIVE_FIRM, something RXTools is not running. CIA or Cart? Because I've gotten reports that CIA carts, but carts are reporting "Removed Game cart." when launched.Sun and Moon works fine with rxtools dont know where you are getting your info but you are wrong.
Source: Both my sons o3ds have rxtools and can play sun and moon fine.
