What's the point of that? Are 64 gb sd cards converted to fat32 unstable?
Nah they are just very slow but your data is completely safe. You could even format a terrabyte to fat32 and it wouldnt make any differences to an 32gb card besides the speed. So its up to your personal preferences which cardsize you need

The point of what? I mentioned the idea of being able to create a partition wiithin larger carts to to 32GB so that it may either keep compatibility that the 3ds uses or just have switchable storage on single sd card with a specific set of games on each one, to exceed the 300 home menu storage limit.

People mentioned that you can only have up to 300 selectable apps (games) on the home menu at a time, having a larger memory card would seem unnecessary unless you are actually downloading tons of stuff in large data. It was just a thought that having partition would allow using a single sd card to store two sets of games on each one for maximum of 300 X number of partitions availble. (If it was possible to actually switch between them on the fly)

The problem with card bigger than 32gb is that they slow down the DS quite a bit (at least on my o3ds idk if that's different with n3ds) so people recommend card sizes like 64GB because in most cases you wont need more space than that. If dont mind 15 seconds to load an extended memory game or 20 to coldboot it then go 128 (256 might be overkill due to the 300 title limit)
I'm inclined to believe that to at least some extent this is a myth. I noticed no change in any loading times when I switched from a class 10 32GB to a class 10 128GB microSD card.

@omegazeroINFI walmart has a 128gb micro for like $25 starting at 12:01 tonight online or instore tomorrow at 6pm. I use 128gb as well for two systems and love it! Never hurts to have extra space escpecailly when it's so cheap nowadays.

i know a 64gb is 100 Euro
Ive got a class 10 128gb card for half of the price. I dont know were you searched but 100 for 64gb is definitely overpriced

Could be that its a problem with the o3ds but in my case I definitely get a slowdown of like 5 seconds on Coldboot a9lh to coldboot vanilla 3ds with the 2GB card it came with.

I had a 128gb with no problem until I used some inject GBA VC which get issues on displays (it’s documented somewhere). Revert back to 64, problem gone. If you don’t mind to play gba games, you don’t need to worry.

A graphical glitch where the top of the screen (like 10 px) were displayed at the bottom.

(https://gbatemp.net/threads/luma3ds-issue-with-gba-vc-inject.431490/ - a ticket was sent to luma3ds and the dev said it’s not linked to luma but to the fact the sd > 64gb).

As it always happened with FF6 (it was quite random with other games, and never happened with others), i reverted back to 64gb.
