I Bricked my 3DS trying to doing this. I'm so f** sad and mad, there should be a warning or something for emunand users.
You shud read the comments and do research before even trying you didn't and look what happend, I took my time and made sure I knew what to do that's why I asked questions and peoples answered.

I BRICKED MY N3DS FOLLOWING THIS GUIDE.
Here's what happened...
Did everything right up until the inject portion of the guide.
For some reason only friendcodeseed_B transfered over to the sd card from my pc.
I pulled the sd card after writing friendcodeseed_B to my 3ds to add the other 2 files.
After plugging the sd card back into my 3ds I guess it didn't mount since it still didn't find the files.
Choose restart console within decrypt9
Blue light, Black Screed BRICKED! No menuhax, no sysnand, no recovery.

Console specs, N3ds, 9.2, running Reinand.
I do have a nand backup, so now I'm just waiting on a card reader from amazon. Hoping that flashing my old nand backup will fix it.
I haven't done the hard mod before but it looks like a breeze.

Question.
I will be able to write my nand if my console is getting blue light and nothing on the screen right?

Also just to be clear. Much props to OP for figuring this method out! Just a heads up to anyone on Emunand, you may end up in the same boat as me.
Yeah, if you're not using A9LH and have emunand or reinand or gwnand or something like that and the SecureInfo_A values are different than sysnand it'll brick

So many people lately have been reporting bans from playing sun and moon early, myself included. This tutorial will help get the 3ds working on the eshop and online games. I cannot confirm account based things like pokemon bank still work, but i would assume they do. Note that your friends list and games will still be there. Also note: you cannot access nnid settings after being banned, even after this method. You're eshop history will also disappear.

With that being said, here is what you will need:

1. the banned 3ds
2. An unbanned 3ds
3. Decrypt9 running on both.

Now here are the instructions:

1. boot up decrypt9 on the unbanned 3ds.

2. Go to sysnand options and dump you friendcodeseed_B

3. Put the sd card in the computer and backup the file you just dumped.

4. Not sure if i can share this, so i'll just mention where to get it. Theres a youtube video called [3ds] how to unban 002-0102. In the description theres a download for nnidsave.bin. Download that.

5. Now on the banned 3ds, go into decrypt9 and dump secureinfo_A

6. Open secureinfo_A in a hex editor. The very last line should be your 3ds console id. To confirm this, it should match up to the code on the back of your 3ds. Without changing the first 2 letteres, just change some random numbers and make a new id.

7. After that, put all 3 files you made/ downloaded in the files9 folder of the banned 3ds.

8. Go into decrypt9 on the banned 3ds and inject all 3 files. Congratulations your 3ds is unbanned.

As far as i've tested, the unbanned 3ds should still be able to go online along with the banned 3ds, but this is not certain. Also, just in case, do not share the friendcodeseed_B with anyone else, as i dont know what happens when too many 3ds's have the same friendcodeseed. Also if the 3ds blackscreens, that means your cfw is not compatible with the injection, but most are. If a mod could sticky this i think that would be a great help.

I dunno, if you're dumb enough to have gone online in SUMO, and then dumb enough to try this tutorial without reading the comments, maybe you kinda deserve to be purged.

U can wait the 15 days and see if Ñitendo will lift the 022-0102 ban to allow at least online play in game that does not requires NNIND

Nintendo already stated that the ban is permanent.

Anyway I heard something abour the localfriendseed and movable.sed... that if they are different you can unban your 3ds without using another. Can someone clarify this?

I have a feeling due to the amount of people with legit copies that it won't be permanent. but wait 15 days and we will see.

You get exactly ONE movable.sed/Localfriendseedcode_b PER CONSOLE.
A system transfer moves the movable.sed from the source to the target, while leaving the old localfriendseedcode_b untouched.
So for people who were the target of a system transfer in the past, they can extract the original 3ds' localfriendseedcode_b from the movable.sed.
This is the same as taking the original 3ds' localfriendseedcode_b directly from it.

It is not possible to create new movable.sed/localfriendseedcode_b, as we don't have nintendos private key to sign them (and neither does your 3ds somewhere hidden).

The only chance to unban without using a different 3ds' localfriendseedcode_b would be to check if it is possible to bypass the signature check on the 3ds and then HOPE that not the whole seed (including) digital signature is sent to nintendo but just the relevant 16byte part (unlikely).

In the past was the following:

002-2812: Permaban of things that need NNID to connect, eShop, MiiVerse and some random games. Which I do not care I have no need of those things

002-0102: 15 days ban of online game play in games that does not use, This one I care D: (I do not have a LFCS besides the banned one).:(

But, apparently, this is the very first time that the 2 kind of bans are hammered together, so we do not know if the 0102 will truly be lifted.

Well, if the 2 are perma, I will need to buy a New 3DS on BlackFriday, no big deal, my old3DS frame drops were driving me crazy anyway.

I have the updated Arm9 and I used this method and it worked for me

I had the error code 026-6901 after trying a different method and this is the only one that allowed me into eShop. If anyone needs more information I will be happy to help

Care to share how you managed to get past this error code? I'm getting it when loading up any game (apparently most of my games need an update, even though officially there hasn't been one) then I'm taken to the eshop at which point I get the error code 026-6901. Any ideas on how I can get past this?

EDIT (he told me what to write exactly, sorry.):

hi, a friend tried this method in rxtools and his 3ds seems to be hardbricked. it does no loger work, not even the sysnand, he tried to do the system recovery button combination, and that didn't work either

hi, a friend tried this method in rxtools and his 3ds doesn't boot up menuhax.
the led is blue and the screens are stuck in black.
he injected the files in the sysnand, what should he do? is this an hard/softbrick?
thanks in advance.
Ugh I told OP to update his original post because of exactly this, you're like the 4th or 5th (at least) person to get a hard brick because of this method and not having A9LH & a risky setup

It's a hard brick, you'll need to restore a backup via. hardmod, sorry :(

They said the same to Sky3DS users when they got the same error though. So I am not saying that they are 100% bluffing, but they might be.
