ROM Hack Animal Crossing: New Leaf Save Editor

Ok it seems that I was mistaken in how the pwp i was designing my area around appeared. However, the other part of my town that I edited didn't appear in game either. So once I finally make the CORRECT edit I will know once and for all. I also am going to bypass dumping my save altogether and just edit a save i have opened already and then import it. I think that worked last time although this may all be from my own incompitence. I will know for sure which edits dont appear once i make this final edit.

A question about files:

I have a gardenram.dat file of one of my towns, and I saw on an earlier post how to convert that to garden.dat. But my other two towns hadn't been hacked in a while, so my latest files for them are acnlram.bin. I know the ram editor is no more, but is there any way for me to update these acnlram.bin files to gardenram.dat and then to garden.dat? (Or just straight to garden.dat?)

I haven't touched any of my towns since the update, because I am absolutely terrified of corrupting one when I update the game. (Usually, I would just think, 'oh, if I mess up, I have backups,' but I don't have that now that ram editing is dead. If my town gets corrupt when I update it, and all I have is a acnlram.bin backup, it's gone forever...right?)

(I should be able to use browserhax on my one 3DS, if that helps anyone answer my question. Thank you!)

hey guys, i have a question about the patterns in the player tab. As you guys see there is an import and export button. Im guessing that function is to put the patterns that you want in each slot. My question is how do you do that? I want to put the patterns for my town path but everytime i try to import the pattern, the pattern becomes just a bunch of colorful dots. Can someone explain how that works and how to do it?

Ok so I FINALLY got screenshots
So THIS is what I edited my town to look like

and this is what appeared in game/in the editor once i redumped it (things that weren't added circled in red and are all trees/bushes)

Is there a limit to how many trees/bushes can be in an area that the game has that can't be overrode with hacking? Basically I have NO idea what's going on and I know that it isn't because of hacking restrictions imposed by Nintendo.

I have a question, I haven't really gotten down all the stuff for the flags, but how do yo get specific custom shirts from the able sisters, because I would like to make one of my villager wear one of the designs, I did check the faq, and I looked, but I can't find anything, if someone would be able to share their knowledge that would be amazing

I need to update my acnl game on my hacked new nintend 3ds in order to be able to hack again.. idk what to update do i update thhrough reinand ? i use cfw to get into homebrew and reinand for online..

Not sure what to do.

i can help with that as i dabble in that sort of stuff. the reason it does that is because it needs a .Acnl file. this file is not attained easily as it is a file type that is embedded into ACNL & ACHHD.it is the life blood of the designs/patterns mechanic in ACNL/HHD. there is a super easy way though to create your own. want me to share? it works in the editor and creates .acnl files(what i mean by it works in the editor, i don't mean literally..the self generated .acnl files do if your trying to inject your own patterns into the game through the editor.)

are u talking about back to the home menu or back to the homebrew menu?

back to the homebrew home menu. And it doesn't inject the save. But it'll dump it.

hmm your not pressing A when trying to inject a save in the save manager after editing the save are you? cause to Import the edited save back into the game, you need the game it originated from inside the 3ds and press B in the save manager after it is done press start (or X in rare cases tht the save manager has the option to go back to homebrew menu tht way) dumping the save is exporting it into it's main core forms so u can edit it. if u redump the save, you will need to re edit the save most likely as exporting a save just makes a copy of the save that will overwrite the previous once injected back in. look for this save manager as it will help ALOT (is almost universal really): save_manager by profi200

are those bushes around a house? meaning, are they touching the walls of a house? I believe Nintendo added restrictions to trees and bushes

Anyone have a guide on how to use the editor now that it doesn't work the way it use to ever since the browser was blocked and the game updated? Or are the instructions for "How to dump and inject AC:NL savegame through Homebrew" still accurate cause it also still has the "How to dump and inject AC:NL savegame through RAM hacking" but apparently that method is no longer working.

Thank you so much for this. I just lost Jitters. He was one of my favorite villagers, and I don't have his amiibo card. But I can still get him back again much more quickly now.

I just want some confirmation, I apologize if this is obvious. You say the RAM hacking is dead. I'm not sure if that is/was my way of hacking? I have an un-updated 9.4 system 3ds, have used the acnlram.bin in the past and dumping/injecting to hack my town. I see now the save editor says it will automatically save my .bin to garden when I save my edits. Will I still be able to inject my edits and continue to dump/inject if it saves to garden.dat? or will i have to change my way of hacking, if its at all possible with my 9.4 ds. Thanks

PS. I do plan to update my 3ds and game, just wanted to clean up my town one last time with editor. If it isnt possible anymore for me then I just want to know if i should just go ahead and update anyways. Thanks, so sorry if I'm not understanding clearly enough, I read the FAQ and just want to double check.
