Honestly,i wouldn't wish rxtools to die
If Nintendo managed to find a way to kill rxtools, that means they can target emunand, then luma. sysnand.

Just let the peasants use it.
no, stopping rxTools is as easy as updating Home Menu to require 2.51 kernel (11.0 and up). this also breaks the hardmod and dsiware downgrades. this would not break Luma3DS because it is already using 11.0+ kernel.

And since Luma is still being updated and maintained, people can fix it.

This implies that you consider moving to Luma from rxTools an upgrade which contradicts your entire point. Seeing as that's the case it makes absolutely no sense for you to defend rxTools. Your argument is invalid.
Who said I was defending rxTools in the first place? I didn't ever say "everyone should still use rxTools because it's good original and if it ain't broke don't fix it ))))):<<<<". What I provided is a case in which there's no benefit to updating from rxTools to a newer CFW because, once again, it's not like there's an animation app that only works with Luma or anything. You assumed too quickly, and lumped me into the ideal rxTools supporter, when in actuality, it doesn't matter that much to me what software people choose to run on their pieces of plastic. I noticed you most likely neglected to read my message or even digest it when you mentioned "memberberries".

If it didn't matter to you then why did you reply? My point was that you're obviously defending rxTools by staying with it and downplaying Luma by saying that it holds no merit over rxTools in the respect that it offers no benefit to your specific niche. This implies that you see no value in upgrading due to the possibility that you may be proven wrong by doing so just because the upgrade is benign in your opinion. Again, your point is invalid and you shouldn't have replied to begin with. You only did so in order to express your insecurity over change.

Never had a issue yet im on latest 3ds update with no issues or slowdowns ... its like a Apple Vs Android War in here..
when the day comes and Rxtools breaks then in a sense both me and my friend is screwed.. she lives far away ..not mailing it back ..

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

when Luma gets s easy way to transfer thats so easy a non computer person can do it then and only then Will I update and suggest my friend (no knowledge on this ) to do so as well ..

Terrible analogy. iOS and Android are currently maintained whereas the difference between rxTools and Luma is incredibly apparent; one is dead in the water and the other is currently maintained. You'd be better off comparing Linux to Inferno (though that's still a bad analogy).

I told you what the point of my message was, "I provided a situation in which there'd be no point to update from rxTools to a newer CFW, because, once again, there's not an animation app that's exclusive to Luma or anything." You're correct in the sense that I'm downplaying Luma in this case because don't get me wrong, it's a great custom firmware, and I love it, but in the case I've provided neither of the two come out above each other. Essentially, I've brought about a viewpoint that's, for the most part, devoid of people who know it exists.

Lets put it this way I see this As A Apple Fanboy vs Android geeks because Rxtools is like Apple least it was the simpliest to put together out of two others i had to choose from its restricted like apple but it gets the job done ..
The other luma is like Android confusing as all heck once you have biten the apple ..no way to easily turn around and deal with this newer config without undoing lots of crap ..yes its got more features (that i wouldnt use) more open i guess still not easy to go from rxtools to luma ..
Sorry for fueling this war but it happened to be right up there when i came in .plus im bored waiting for my friend to get back on ..Still we both say Rxtools works better and everyone ive met ive told and shown that its easier ..those who know me know im slow as heck ..if i can get it done they can ..Rxtools won ..

Luma's settings are hardly confusing. There are even people who will tell you what exactly you want to check off to do certain things with Luma.
If you want a CFW with confusing settings, go try Corbenik/Skeith.

This is an argument? Who argues that Debian is dead?
I was replying to the OP. Stability, old but trusted features, etc have no meaning in a project without a active team behind it.

PS: Debian is still one of my favourite distros for multiple reasons.

Come to think of it, isn't Luma even easier to setup than rxTools?
Luma is just drag and drop, but I remember having to run a Python script and needing to dig around for the 3DS' keys to get rxTools to work. It took me a few hours to get rxTools working on my sister's 2DS back when she got it, but only a few minutes to set up Luma.

You should probably stop while you're ahead. Your analogies are terrible. The comparison of Apple to rxTools and Luma to Android is incredibly off. I mean, Android is easier to install on an x86 compliant PC than OS X, so your analogy is way off base. Not to mention that the difference in difficulty between rxTools and Luma is a matter of dragging and dropping files, which makes the analogy even worse. Anyway, this is incredibly off topic.

..bub THAT IS NOT EASY... o.o simple drag and drop is easy! I have rxtools already on my sd card plus games apps homebrew THAT NETHER OF US WANT TO LOSE plus rxtools WAS the easiest and as long as its running in my device stable i will recommend it to others ..until luma gets a easy (like i stated before) Noob proof way of going from rxtools to luma and not losing a years worth of stuff -_-
