I'll try to add some stuff once my classes are over in a few weeks, but I've been fairly busy with school and work so I don't really get much free time anymore to work on this.

So I figured it out. It's whenever I try to equip an imported Palico that is crashes. Did I do something wrong with the importing then and if so how do I fix it?

MHXX is Japan only, until otherwise stated, therefore it's presumed to be a Japanese only game. I don't see why this would stop people from creating a save editor for it, so I don't see a reason for you to try and correct people.
I know this is a very old post but I've been banned from MH online once before, lmao.
I had upgraded my weapon passed the stage where I have yet to unlock before hand.
I had a Lagiacrus Switch axe back in MHTri (for the Wii) and it required a Monster Bone+ for the next level upgrade. I had everything else needed, just missing like 2-3 Monster Bone+'s. I eventually hacked those in, thinking it wouldn't be a problem so after putting it in my file--
I upgraded that wep and it wasn't equipped yet. The moment I went online and equipped it right before I was about to go on a quest, I got booted offline. Tried to go back in and it said I was temp banned for having some higher level equips when I wasn't even on that rank to get them. I forgot what the message said but it said something about modified data, etc etc.
TL;DR-
Was banned back in mhtri for having high rank gear when I didn't unlock high rank yet.
Ban was like 2-3 days or something, I forget.
NOT sure if this ban is still in the games though. I have not bothered trying since then so I just unlock things normally then upgrade if I can.
at least on 3DS I've never heard of people being banned, except if they hacked 20k+ raw weapons in 4U..
I never played online on Tri since the time i got the game the servers just went down but i know 100% that the ban feature is now removed. I have been experimenting alot with save editors on MH3U on both Wii U and 3DS and also went online without getting banned.
As i mentioned before, its not possible to get banned on MH4G/U. There was a bug in MH4G that allowed people to get broken Relic weapons that does over 20k+ damage. The 1.1 update fixes that however you can still edit-in those broken 20k weapons and take them online just fine. The only thing you arent allowed to take on quests are the paid DLC weapons (which were scrapped but still are in-game) and broken 20k+ weapons that were created without mimicking the first bug. Other then that, there is no such thing as a "ban" in MH4G/U and MHX/Gen.
What armour do you have equipped? If its male only armour then it will casue the game to crash when you change gender. Also what else did you edit?

No because you need access to the 3ds's RAM in order to pull this off. This can be done with Custom Firmware and NTR plugins. Attack values are hardcoded to the game, nothing to do with the save file or save file editors which this one is. In theory, its possible to make a ROM hack where you change the hardcoded values of the game but i dont know how that will work out.
I don't know if anyone figured this out or not, but I just remembered it, despite it being the first thing I tried out after APM made this. You can make infinite items in your pouch by creating one item (potion for example) with 0 for an amount, and another (potion) with a value of 2 or more, the higher the value the faster of course. When you go to deposit it into your chest, it'll just deposit new ones while you still hold the same amount in your pouch. The downside is, this stops working as soon as you go on a quest, which it's then fixed and your 0 potion is just turned into an empty slot.
All in all it's practically pointless with this editor, but still it exists. If someone can find a better use for it, that would be neat though.
