I'm mostly narrowing it down to anything that tries to read the save data of a cart. svdt wil run fine on installed apps but crashes on use with a cart. oot3dhax sploit installer fails too.

That is probably due to the fact Nintendo added PASLR to some carts such as ORAS, OOT, etc to prevent installs. This has been known since 11.1 (basehax needed a work around, etc..), which is why stickerhax works on 11.2 but has to be installed on 11.1 since PASLR was added. They are talking about the entry points, the fact you can get into HBL = IT WORKS, the other stuff was known to be an issue so you can't really blame them.

I was really hoping not to have to crack open my Alpha Sapphire cart to fit it in my DS Lite for using DSM. I've not seen PASLR mentioned/explained anywhere and what games are affected. Nor how it affects savedata reading.

ORAS has been known since 11.1 update.

Here is one of the few posts that came about after 11.1 update. https://gbatemp.net/threads/i-really-need-some-help-with-pokemon-save-manager.443162/page-2

My tutorial is on bottom of 2nd page, the files are on page 1.

You don't need to buy Pokemon bank subscription I don't think, just download from eshop it's free.

Well this works as I've amanged to get my ORAS save file off. It just seems to be a matter of remapping for the memory of each game. Which sounds pretty hard to stay on top of, but eh.

So....if I installed the LATEST update, I can still use Super Mystery Dungeon as an entry point?
If you have installed SMChax and it works on 11.1, then if you do a system update (to 11.2, the latest version), then SMChax will still work.

That being said, there's no need to update if you already have access to an entrypoint like SMChax on 11.1 or 11.0, just use ctr-httpwn to access online without having to update your 3DS.

Hey guy, i "fix" the: "an error has occured: Failed to apply 1firm patch(es)"
Simply, press <select> and power on the console, check "enable loading external firms and modules" (put an external firms on luma3ds folder xD) and restart.

(Sorry for my bad English)

that can also be fixed by updating to the latest nightly or using the stable luma version 6.3.1

Yea, a9lh users are having no trouble. I've already updated.
Like I said though, luma updater(CIA Version) for whatever reason doesn't work from 11.2.
EDIT: Star Updater seems to work.

so I have to remove "luma updater" and install "star updater" to update safely?

I wouldn't update luma for now.
Most versions cause an error that would force you to remove the sd card and reinstall Luma.
In fact, when I did my test of Star Updater whatever version it installed caused said error.

Luma Updater works for me on 11.2. So does the latest version of Luma. Dunno what's going on with you.
The latest version of Luma works, It is all the other versions of Luma that have been causing people to error out. It's not just me, read the thread.

Maybe you use the 3dsx version? I only had the cia version of Luma Updater which didn't work for me.
Where is Luma Updaters download page?

https://github.com/Hamcha/lumaupdate/releases. Before asking where something is, do a Google search. :/

So Rude.
I was just trying to be helpful.
No point if it just gets me bullied.

I was informing others of the situations I've experienced that they may if they update.
I was then trying to diagnose the root of the issues for the benefit of all.
Forget it, if it becomes its own topic or others have the issue maybe then these things will get proper attention.

I'm not trying to be rude. It's usually common sense to Google search something before asking. I used Google to find that link. Go ahead and call me rude, though. I honestly don't care.
