Finally! By changing ini file , I can make Mario Kart 8 run at full speed (60FPS) on my laptop .

Edit : For Xenoblade X, you will need to do the exact opposite : cycleCounter -> hostBased . There is no Cputimer setting for Xenoblade though (you can do this via Cemu instead)

Doubtful for online, BUT you can still share courses with other people through file/course sharing the threads available. Loler's Save on r/CemuMarioMaker is a pretty good place to start, has all unlocks and 105 coursebot courses. A bunch of Dashie courses were recently dumped there too (105) if you are interested.

Edit-
Is open the season for "why exzap doesn't create a Nintendo Switch emulator too?" LOL

Hmm, so it seems the rumors of it being based off Nvidia's Shield are true afterall. I'm rather surprised Nintendo decided to base their next home-console off the Shield tbh.

I'm also worried emulating it will likely end up being in a similar state to original Xbox emulation. :(

I really doubt it. Consoles are getting easier and easier to emulate. Xbox also had a fair lack of interest, i don't see any reason to play any titles from it. I think the switch is also a 64bit device which may make it easier.

IIRC the main reason Wii and Wii U emulation was possible was because of public documentation, which afaik was nearly non existent on the last Nvidia-based console (the original/2001 Xbox) and the primary reason a proper/working original Xbox emulator doesn't exist despite using similar-to-PC architecture. Ofc I'm entirely unaware if any exists for the Nvidia Shield and it using an Android OS may make this a non-issue since Android/mobile emulation seems to work rather well in general.

I still don't think we have all the details/features though, and the Shield was largely a [PC] streaming/cloud gaming device itself.

Wii emulation was also rather easy because the Wii was basically a pimped-up GameCube on the inside. That's why Dolphin emulates both.

With it being a modern system it's likely the devkit includes a windows vm emulator anyway, especially given it being a slightly updated mobile based soc, it'd be a pita if the devs have to have the keep the full dev hardware around just to test games for the tablet, it's what devs use for quickly testing android, ios and smarttv games on different hardware.
