Can anyone help me?
When I use braindump on my Awakening game it doesn't create a folder but a 'CXI' file instead, I've tried opening this CXI file but I cant find anything.
I followed all the instructions twice and I still get the CXI file has anyone else had this problem and was able to fix it?

That's a known problem, it's just an issue with the version of braindump you're using. Lemme find the post...

Ah, the latest release of braindump dumps the .cxi file which makes it unnecessarily harder to install the hack. It's easier to use an older version like this one I use.

...Well. THAT took way too long to come out. As I've been working away on my Gay Fates hack, this project started to fall to the wayside a bit--but I'm turning that around, starting now. This update is meant to signify that. I'll be working on the two concurrently from now on, so the next update will NOT take as long.

This update changes around the existing support options to make them more in line with the standards I've set for my gay Fates hack (aka more S's), added a few new support options, as well as a few key support convos such as Lissa x Maribelle. I know there's still an extremely disproportionate amount of F/F to M/M content, but that is another thing I'm going to change starting now.

  • Fixed Gregor crashing glitch
  • Added Support Conversations for:
    • Chrom x Gaius S
    • Cynthia x Severa S
    • Severa x Kjelle S
    • Tiki x Lucina S
    • Noire x Female Morgan S
    • Lucina x Female Robin New C-A + S
    • Cynthia & Severa Sibling
    • Cynthia & Cordelia Parent/Child
    • Severa & Sumia Parent/Child
  • Gave these previously platonic supports an S option:
    • Female Robin x Nowi
    • Female Robin x Nah
    • Ricken x Male Robin
    • Male Robin x Kellam
    • Male Robin x Donnel
    • Male Robin x Gangrel
    • Male Robin x Walhart
    • Male Robin x Yen’fay
    • Male Robin x Yarne
    • Stahl x Kellam
    • Yarne x Brady
    • Yarne x M!Morgan
    • Yarne x Laurent
    • Yarne x Owain
    • Yarne x Inigo
    • Yarne x Gerome
    • Nowi x Cherche
    • Lucina x Nah
    • Kjelle x Nah
    • Lissa x Basilio
    • Frederick x Basilio
    • Vaike x Basilio
    • Lon’qu x Basilio
    • Lon’qu x Flavia
    • Olivia x Basilio
    • Priam x Basilio
    • Flavia x Aversa
  • Added New Support Options for:
    • Sumia x Nowi
    • Cordelia x Nowi
    • Maribelle x Nowi
    • Panne x Nowi
    • Olivia x Nowi
    • Ricken x Donnel
    • Kellam x Frederick

I should note that as of this post, NTR CFW doesn't work with 3DS System Update 11.1 nativity. I have no idea when it will be fixed though.

So I've gotten the hack installed just fine. However, a large amount of the added supports are not actually showing up (ChromXCordelia, MirielXSumia) while some of them are (FeMUXLissa). I've tried reinstalling the hack multiple times at this stage. Should my filenames look like this (attached) or are they corrupted? If so, is there a recommended extractor to use? I've tried PeaZip and Winzip so far.

Dialogue hasn't been written for every support yet. If you look at the updates, you'll see different sections for support options and support conversations. A support conversation means the support has dialogue.

Just saw "Option" vs "Conversation"
When the conversations are eventually added, can we retroactively view them in the support log?

I assume that every time I reboot the console, I will also have to reboot NTR in order to have the extended supports, right? Is there any easy way to patch the game without having to reboot NTR every time I restart the console, for example when my units die in a classic lunatic/lunatic+ mode? I know I can decrypt a .3ds file, extract, modify, and rebuild another 3ds file (and convert it to cia) to avoid using NTR over and over again, but is there an easier way? Thanks a lot!

You're better off rebuilding the .cia/.3ds (I recommend using a .cia in the first place, less conversion), tbh. There's no way around needing to boot NTR every time other than rebuilding.

Thanks for the reply! When I extracted from my Fates cia file, I didn't see any DecryptedExHeader.bin file (only romfs and exefs), which I think is required for the rebuilding process. Also, when I extracted things from my Awakening cartridge, I didn't have the DecryptedExHeader.bin, either. What do I need to do to get the DecryptedExHeader.bin file to use in the 3DS Builder program? Thanks!

You need to decrypt the cia using Decrypt9 to get the Decrypted___.bin files.

uh hey I'm having a problem, I think I installed the hack right, followed the instructions and got the game to run from hans with the romf

But for some reason none of the new supports are showing up, no letters or new options appear in their menus. I'm not sure

Edit: I used the menuhax method btw

Edit Edit: Solved it, I just put the files into the romf_ wrong, but now I need to figure out how to properly update this

Fore some reason, loading this hack is causing certain normal supports to disappear. If I load the hack, I currently have no new supports. If I load the game normally, I have a support conversation between Robin and Cordelia available (the C support conversation). Anyone have any ideas?

Edit: Also, the only dialogue this hack changes is the supports right? Does it change any of the conversations before the S?

Hey, so I'm having a bit of an issue when combining this hack and the Revelations buff hack. When I combine the two and patch the gamedata.bin.lz via lunarIPS, every time I launch the game I get a crash. I'm using NTR on a9lh on 11.1.

Any advice? Or are the two simply incompatible right now? I imagine due to the IPS patch writing to areas which have been repointed.

E: whoops, thought this was the fates thread, my bad!

That's a side effect of loading a save that had points before installing the hack. It's totally normal and will still work but if you gained a rank with someone, it could shuffle around some ranks. As for the conversations it changes, the changelogs should have this info.

So, as long as I just keep playing, everyone should still be able to gain the lower support ranks while using the hack? Oh, and will it drop my point values every time I load the hack?

From now on, as long as you load the hack before playing that save everything should be fine. If you don't load it though, it might either mess up the supports big time or crash the game (I'm not sure which one). You might want to make a backup just in case. And no, you won't lose the support points each time you load the hack.
