Hi ya'll, I have a bit of a different question that I couldn't find an exact answer to.

I've been on vacation for awhile and just got back. Throughout that time period I would play on my HB 2DS at 11.0, I beat several SNES games including Earthbound (for the 13,263rd time,) and I got a lot of screenshots I'd like to save. Now I can't move them off right now as my SD card reader broke last week, so I've ordered a new one due on the 21st of this month.

This is where the problem really lies though, the Pokemon Sun and Moon demo comes out next week, and this is a game I've been waiting for a long time. I'm perfectly fine removing homebrew to download it, (and possibly for when Sun and Moon comes out next month) but the screenshots and several other files are a bit important atm.

So my question is this; If I update my system to the latest FW, are any Homebrew files removed from my SD card?

To be a bit more clear with my console, it's a 2DS running 11.0, and Homebrew is being booted up via menuhax with a custom theme installed. Thanks in advance.

Nope, all of your files should be fine once you update, the only thing that won't work anymore is Menuhax.

Okay, that's good to know, thank you for easing my worries!

You can just access the eShop with https://github.com/yellows8/ctr-httpwn to get the Pokemon Sun and Moon demo, so you have no need to update.

(PLEASE CALL ME OUT IF I'M WRONG, OR DID NOT READ THOROUGHLY)

Apparently it doesn't work with Menuhax due to the system rebooting differently. Just to make sure I tried it and it didn't work (rip in rest). And @Loversan is probably right on one or both needing the system update.

I guess it was inevitable that I would fall out of userland once I got kernel hax. Thanks for the clarification. I guess this means you can't get your hands on Steelhax, either, since you don't have eShop access of any kind.
