As I wrote in the quoted post, we can't redirect the manual path directly to the sd card, we would have to save it temporarily on internal storage. I'm not sure if you mean something else?

I believe that the logic behind the question is that since Paper Mario has a Manual icon available on it's own menu screen (rather than requiring that the home menu be activated first), the restriction regarding SD access 'through the home menu' might not apply.

Unfortunately, it's likely that selecting the icon ultimately calls the same system manual reader as the home menu selection, and would therefore be subject to the same restriction.

Stupid question but ... I believe Loadiine is not able to play .wux files. If I only have a .wux file (for a game) how do I convert it into a format Loaddine understands ?

WUX is compressed WUD, decompress and decrypt to loadiine compatible files.

I can't think of the name of the compressor/decompressor.

All done now [ once I realised I had to uncompress the wux file :D ] guys thanks.

Presumably, I just put the contents of the 'data' folder (created by UWizard) into the 'game name' folder on the SD card ?

Doesn't work. :/

I tested it with MK8 USA.
It works Abood, trust me buddy! You need to make sure you put the www folder from the new gx2 mod over the original gx2 mod files in your self host www folder, if your using a hosting site with the original gx2 www files in, it wont work the .elf file just on the sd card will not work also you need say MK8 for example it needs updating to the latest v4.1, "content folder" not update folder and also you need the correct region dlc alongside, it does work they all work fine. Apparently some dumped dlc content in the wild doesn't work I can't verify that myself I have not found that happen but I have read certain comments on this, whether its correct not sure.

Edit: sorry forgot you need to use Smash way, miimaker way wont work for obvious reasons, it wont load for a start. Click both as well DLC & Legitimate :)

I'm using homebrew launcher so I don't need to update the www folder.

I have the latest version. (v4.1)
I use update folder named "v64".

The DLC is the same region as MK8.

It wont work using Homebrew launcher you need the www files out of the folder from the mod they have been specially worked on for it to work.

Just wanted to check - Is Loadiine(or homebrew launcher for that reason) "supposed" to freeze the entire console half of the time on startup?

Or is it just a problem on my end? If so, probably wrong build or sd-card if thats the case.

Color Splash and Mario Maker have the ability to load the manual from in the game, not just from the home menu.
I was wondering if that would allow these games to access the Meta folder on SD as the game already has access.
The way I read your post is that the Home menu does not allow you to redirect to SD, but I thought these games might behave different with manual access in game.

Thanks.

Don't use update folders, just combine the update data with the game data and look for another DLC dump

Is there some way I can message you? I can't seem to find a way on here? I'm having trouble figuring the www folder out. I hosted my own server, and was able to load loadiine, but I don't believe I replaced the files correctly as Mario Kart 8 did not load the DLC.

So far have I replaced the loadiinegx2 folder in my wiibrew folder with the loadiinegx2 folder from the mod source zip. I compiled my updated MK8 files into the normal content folders. DLC folder name is correct and correct DLC region with game. If i'm missing a step, if someone could please correct me, that would be much appreciated.
