as above poster says, the USA one was released a while ago but didn't work on PAL Machines. Next one we're waiting for is Trauma Centre

I like it (well, I loved the Golf in Wii Sports)
But as a Newbie I find myself often changing the Setting from Motion Controll to Classic Button Controll, just to get rid of the Left-Right Drift Problem (some people should know that Problem from Wii sports Bowling, the Ball drift because you pull the Wiimote to the left or the Right at the Ende of the Move)

Looks like fun to me.
I guess I'll give it a go then.

the swing works well, it registers where the wiimote is and matches the club on the screen. The swing on tiger sucks it just goes fully back when u move the mote an inch.......Super swing > Tiger

view from a golfer!

Why this game don't use the Wifi Capability to play online like PC version ?
Only First party games will have online servers ? Maybe it's more difficult to manage a server for the Wii than a computer.

Whats the actual game like? Is it any good?

I like it, but I should note that I've been playing the PC version for about a year. Compared to that the camera controls suck and the low resolution makes long putts a bit harder. Having a real single player mode is nice though.

New players are at a disadvantage with the Wii version because the shots of the computer players are essentially hidden (you can't see where they aim or what club and power they use - seeing other people's shots in the PC version helped me a lot when I started playing).

Technical nitpick: In button mode the power bar marker doesn't move smoothly. It's still a constant movement, I think it makes hitting Pangya slightly easier.

More to the point of your question: If you don't mind fantasy elements[1] instead of realism (and in this context Wii Golf qualifies as realistic IMHO) and like the graphical style of Pangya the game might be interesting for you. Expect a noticable learning curve though - playing Pangya well (which can mean scores of -20 or better on a course) isn't that easy and you don't get to look at other people's shots.

[1] Some examples:
- The beam over the hole sucks. Literally.
- There are a few physics-defying special shots which are more or less required to get the best scores.
- Golf on battleships. In winter.
