Hi. How can i path the Luma arm9loader hax? Cause when i rename Luma arm9loader of the root of my sd card to arm9payload. The new 3ds not boot.

My sd card:

arm9loaderhax (Luma) rename to arm9payload

anim/0/arm9loaderhax (Boot anim 9)

And can mix splash screen and anim? Or for boot anim 9 , we need all file in anim ?

You did it wrong.

Put arm9payload.bin into anim folder and put arm9loaderhax.bin (from BootAnim9) on the root of your SD.

For anim you need anim files. But if you have a Luma splash screen set up you'll see an animation first and then the splash screen. So yes you can have both but not using only BootAnim9.

@Ephixi4 For others boots animations like decrypt9. We can mix or we need to convert the static image( photo) in anim like gif ? Cause i want to use a static image for top screen and gif for bottom

And for config the relation between anim and programms (Luma, decrypt 9 etc) i need to use Bootctr9?

I mean you can have a static on top and animation on the bottom but I didn't really try to make these myself so I don't know much about this.

Better wait for other replies.

for the record, you don't actually need to manually touch anything after updating.

open up your text editor of choice, shove this into it:
Code:
payload type = a9lh
payload path = /anim/arm9payload.bin

save as lumaupdater.cfg, and put it in your luma folder. when you use the luma updater app, it should show you that it's going to always install to that .bin, specifically.

So stupid question. I'm using the most recent arm9loaderhax payloads, specifically Aurora's most recent payloads which merge the screen-init and nonscreeninit branches (available here: https://github.com/AuroraWright/arm9loaderhax)

Unfortunately, using these most recent payloads, my 3ds doesn't boot when using boot9anim. I get a black screen, and nothing else.

My file tree is as follows:

D:\anim
-0
--anim
--config
-arm9payload.bin (renamed from the most recent, 6.3.1, luma arm9loaderhax.bin)
-calibrator

D:\arm9loaderhax.bin (bootanim9)

Any advice? It appears on first glance that the most recent arm9 payloads are simply incompatible with BootAnim9, unless I'm screwing something up.

I'll also note that I've tried with Luma3ds splash screen support off, and after payload support, no no change.

Other than that, my Luma 3ds settings are default.

Hi,

I'm also loading to a black screen, I have the same file tree as above:

D:\anim
-0
--anim
--config
-arm9payload.bin (renamed from the most recent, 6.3.1, luma arm9loaderhax.bin)
-calibrator

D:\arm9loaderhax.bin (bootanim9)

I already tried this:

Rename that to "arm9loaderhax_si.bin".

but no use, I noted that if the animation folder is called 0 then it won't boot but if I call it something else it does load but not showing the animation.

*edit: a word
