Whoops I mis-quoted there. I meant it only gave me the "Corrupted file" message twice at Steel Diver before the Steelhax finally worked.
definitely a different problem, I had steelhax before the update, but i updated system, then i tried to get 11.1 otherapp(steelhax_,,bin) and tried to put it in the root of 3ds, but it dint work. i did not get that corrupted message. i did redownload the hbmenu, and steelhax, possibly that could be the cause.

Hm? I haven't updated to 11.1 yet tho, if you've read my original post.
Still at 11.0, already got Steelhax after only 2 corrupted file messages.

did you have steelhax or freakhax installed before the update, if not, a New primiary exploit, has to be found, but that can take a while.

Another question tho... hopefully no "I don't know" answers.

Do I need to delete those 000002cd & 0000008f folders? It won't soft- or hard-brick my system?
I just noticed now (by watching again the backed up files from my SD card before doing a system transfer, which is 1 day before the update happened) that I haven't deleted that 000002cd folder when I installed Steelhax before the update, but I'm able to make Steelhax work anyway after only 2 "corrupted file" messages.

If it worked for you, it you dont need to delete everything, I have no idea why those 2 files were important, I have deleted them, it did nothing, im still in the crash restart situation for steelhax.

How would I get OOTHax on 11.1? Getting a new galaxy 3DS so don't know what firmware it will come with. If I get a miracle and get 10.7, I'm downgrading, getting Luma3DS, getting Freeshop + Steel Diver/Freaky Forms, homebrewing, and updating.

its possible that freaky and steel works is because of cfw and oot3dhx:
from smealums twitter:i have updated otherapp payloads for 11.1. NOTE: this does not mean broken exploits are fixed. this is mostly for oot3dhax and cfw peeps atm

Galaxy 3DS comes with 11.0, you'll need a hardmod or another system with CFW. As of now, oothax requires another system that has firmware v10.7 w/Homebrew to below to install the exploit.

Wait, I've been seeing this mentioned a lot lately. The bold only applies to non-cfw systems, right? Like, if I try to install oothax for 11.1 on my CFW with 11.0, it will still work, right?

It's work in a CFW system if you install it in a CFW system. CFW/A9LH users can use the installer regardless of what firmware version, but CFW = CFW, non-CFW = non-CFW.

Is there a new payload for Oothax or is the 11.0 payload working?
The new 11.1 Powersaves payloads are not out yet. The payloads that you install using a system with firmware v10.7 or below are working for 11.1.

Sorry late reply, what I did was follow the steps on the video and then when loading Steel divers, hold down the B button. Not sure why but it prevent the game from crashing and went straight to the HBL

I already have the Homebrew Launcher installed via BrowserHax. Is it safe for my to do the system update, or there an alternative I'm supposed to use?

I actually had the oterapp.bin, renamed as steelhax_payload.bin, set to 11.1.034u, and inserted into my root, crashed the game, error, and restarted teh system. when i tried to load steeldiver, i held down the b, all it did was crash and restart.
@startropic, NOT A GOOD IDEA, if you have another like freakyhax, oot3dx, and steeldiver
