What is this file? It's not a script like I'm used to.

PS: @duke_srg Can you update this post with the new URL? It still has .com listed. :)
https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-to-have-a-homemade-streetpass-relay.352645/page-10#post-4739510

Edit: Figured out what the file is. It's a tar that has all the scripts in it, and runs them automagically. @duke_srg you are a very very smart person.

What's the new URL? Maybe that's why I'm getting /tmp/nzone.sh:not found error on my ddwrt with the dynu.com and the dynu.net too.

Please remove the full link from posts and replies immediately! Someone reported two previous links so I ought to change it and that is why there is no direct link anymore in the method descryption post.
.dynu.net/install link is correct, it is not a link to a file but to a server-side script which detects your growser agent and send nzone.sh or nzone.exe depending on your operating system.
If you're got /tmp/nzone.sh not found, most probably there is no wget application in your firmware. Check you are not using 'micro' version and also check the build version number, versions 14xxx-20xxx should work, any older/newer may not.

I tried with some of the 14xxx and 20xxx but I get the same error: /bin/sh: eval: line 1: /tmp/nzone.sh: not found
I was able like a year or two ago to do the automatic mac changing with older methods on this same router, so, whan can I do now? I even tried to do the commands one by one, but I get the error.

EDIT: On Local DNS I put 8.8.8.8 and the command ran, but the MAC is not changing and the MAC Clone option is enabled.
EDIT 2: Looking at the Startup command, the nURL finishes with .com, so I changed to .net as stated in the main Command and finally, it works! The MACs are changing now.

Sorry - removed. Better late than never? :(

I just personally don't feel comfortable running unknown scripts which is why I was diving into what you've done (great work, no amazing work). Plus I try to make it a learning experience for myself.

I've been using this guide HERE which is really simple to use with a Virtual Router and suitable wifi adapter, no need to buy any aditional hardware. I have been getting a lot of repeat Streetpass hits though but I don't mind.

Recently changed .com with .net inside the script itself, so won't need any change after downloaded from http://nintendozone...
Once again, in Windows 7 and above there is no need to have any third-party software like Virtual router manager and so on or any hand work if windows script from my method is installed.

I tried that method, but every time I try to download the nzone files, they are always empty. I guess my antivirus doesn't like them lol
The only method I have got to work is the Virtual Router method, so I recommend that if anyone has trouble with the other methods.

Yes antivirus software may interfere, even nintendozone page is detected by chrome somehow as a malware, though the only reason might be the windows version nzone.exe which is crypted to hide actual Nintendo Zone key.

I tired it but couldn't get it to work, The virtual router manager always says "The group or resource is not in the correct state to perform the requested operation"

I had that exact error message once when I disabled the adapter.
Try going into Device Manager, then Network adapters, right click 'Microsoft Network Virtual Adapter' and choose 'enable'
If you can't see it, go to 'View' and show hidden devices.

I didn't have Microsoft Network Virtual Adapter, I have Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter, but even still it was enabled and didn't work

I'm trying to run the ddwrt script but I'm getting "No wireless interfaces found". It used to work fine. I have a WNDR3700.

Edit: I edited the nzone install script as it was detecting my router as openwrt which it isn't and forced it to install as ddwrt.

The spotpass feature isn't working. The connection works well enough for my 3DS to download the update (is this irony?) but I'm not getting any spotpass hits. I've got a hardmod/A9LH/Luma3DS so I'm going to see if this is just because I need to update. Wish me luck.

Update: I can browse the eshop, my homebrew installed CIAs run and connect just fine, browser works normally. No spotpass hits yet.

Make sure there is no 3DS connection configured for the desired NintendoZone SSID.
