Dont you live in the usa? I think your a customer of mine?

You're right. I had school and life stuff all week so I sent it this morning. I didn't think lithium battery was a problem and the person behind the desk gave me a lecture. This means amazon japan and amiami lie on their custom forms when they send me my package. :blink:

What do you do with custom forms when you return packages to your international customers?

I always just tell international orders to remove the battery before sending, just takes the risk out of running into a litiumaphobia country as one I had to return informed me that (I don't recall which country it was) does not allow litium ion batteries in the post so I would have to arrange a specialist delivery company who can deliver hazardous material ( or just return the next day and say no :P)

I just read the lithium battery shipping policy on USPS. It looks like a legal document. I doubt the employees fully understand it. When I went to ship mine they gave me a hard time, but shipped mine anyways and didn't put the hazard sticker. Not sure what the fuss was about.

Edit: I read more carefully and it appears it is acceptable to send a 3DS containing a battery. I think the employees simply want to give people a hard time by saying "you're not supposed to ship them."

@vb_encryption_vb

Body wash broke open in my bag and got all over my n3dsxl. I'm cleaned it up the best I could and everything works except the inward facing camera. I have not opened it yet so I do not know the full extent of the damage.

I do not think any body wash got into the screen so it is probably the ribbon cable or connector that got messed up.

Any chance you have a spare one laying around?

How do you ship 3DSs? I went to the post office today and got asked about lithium battery. I imported 3DSs before and never saw a hazardous material warning on the customs form.
Tell them ya it has one and its screwed into the device. I ship them often and have yet to have an issue. Do not lie to them.
You can go one step further and tell them how to do their job. They are supposed to slap a no fly sticker on it. Stuff with lithium batteries are supposed to be ground travel only.
