Too cool =D Another question: Does it have an internal battery of any kind? Like, can I unplug it from the wall while its suspended, bring it to a friends house and plug it up, and then resume? I doubt it but I thought I'd ask anyway lol
Is a microconsole, not a portale mobile device, it does not have a battery. Is plug and play.
It comes with a hdmi cable and only features HDMI output from 480P to 1080I
It features, wifi and wlan ethernet port, and it comes with a ps3 controller, with 8GB Memory card. It supports PS4 Controllers.

Yeah I understand that, but I thought it might have at least a small enough battery to save resume. Still awesome though =D I'm buying one as an emulation machine to compliment my Vita and to make it easier to play multiplayer

No, but it's probably possible to mod it so you can power it off of a battery

The PSTV is (As advertised) A microconsole capiable of ps4 remote play (Game streaming from ps4 akin to PS3 remote play) On demand video streaming services (Netflix, hulu, crackle etc..) And streaming ps3 games (From famous GAIKAI Cloud severs, with a paid subscription to playstation now. IS is not combined with playstation plus and much be purchased seperatly. You can buy subscription for access to all games available on server, rent games independtly or buy specific games and play. This is the only reason why multiple controllers are supported at the same time and has no other purpose for multiple controller support)

It also plays ps vita games from game card or download from PS store, but is limited to specific games (Obviously lacking touch screen, gryo controls, camera and other nesessary features) While it does emulate touch screen controls is not that great and some games can be played on it when updated and allowed. (Choices depends on if game is playable state, Uncharted golden abyss for example if you did a playthrough you would know why) Apperently there is a whitelist trick to allow all ps vita games to be played on the system. It will allow the game to run but still unplayable cause of nesessary vita requirements. You can only get so far. There also some psp and ps1 games that cannot be played on pstv (Must be downloaded fro ps store obviously) Even though for some reason i have castlevania dracula x on my vita it plays and works, while on pstv it doesn't allow me to play and ask me to update. (There is no update for psp games) So it simply won't play even when giving the option to download.

Most of the whitelist problems wont be an issue in the coming months. I'm pretty sure Pstv will eventually play any PSP or PS1 games that the vita will. Vita games will still be an issue due to no touch screens, gyro or camera though

You can use touch screen emulation but it works with using analog to control the hands, (One for front touch screen one for rear touch pad) Unless you can master that then i wouldn't recommend it for casual players, is mostly for things like shortcuts if needed more stationary things. Not for real hard core rubbing and such. :P

If i can find the best way to describe it....

Is like when you play one of the on rails shooter game with the crosshair, like sin and punishment for N64 or Kid Icarus uprising, and you use the analog to aim the cursor crosshairs. Now imagine that with two analog sticks at the same time for both front touch screen and rear touch pad and also support pinch zoom and trying to do something silly like draw on the vita with no stylus but using analog sticks to rub, touch and such....

Did it make more sense now?

This. This is what scares me. I kinda wanna play Project Diva f on the big screen, but I need to swipe on the "touchscreen" to hit star notes. If the touchscreen emulation is poopy then I have no chance of having fun

Well i mean, is not like some wii u or 3ds, if your gonna play it, you can try it on PSTV but i wouldn't recommend it unless you can master the control. I usually avoid games that rely too much on touch screen cause then is not a game to me if i can't press any buttons. :P

There is a obvious reason why some games are not supported on PSTV, and is not to stop players from having fun, is cause there is no reason to make it playable. If games rely heavily on things like touch control, gyrosenser, and if you played uncharted golden abyss, there is one weird part you had to hold the psvita up to the light, (Insert boktai reference here...... TAIYOH!!!!) To solve a puzzle, which obviously you can't do on PSTV making it uncompletable. So while playing any game on vita tv would be like probably a good thing, is really depends on the game to be honest.

I think my main problem is unlike the psp which had cables you could plug into the system, they just invented a "MICRO CONSOLE" instead. Using the componet cable was better since you were still using the system itself, and if you were done playing you could easily disconnect, it had easy setup, but the screen wouldn't be complete filled, it would be the actual resolution of psp (480X272) if i remember. The PSTV is a vita console, with all the support of the vita, but instead using ps3 or ps4 controls, it seem like a good idea, but maybe they could have use some mirrorcast tech that wiiu had, to maybe use actual vita controller on it? maybe stream games to the tv? I mean we do understand that streaming anything is not optimal for common use i still get some disconnect using wii u game pad even though i'm in the same room less than 5 feet away from the console. But some more options would been nice.

Is probably a debate which option was better, PSP componet cable or PSTV, either way, it least tried to make some corrections. Maybe next time sony shouldn't have included so many unnecessary functions like the touch pad and screen or gryosensor if they were gonna make something like PSTV. But then again, most games on vita are already for ps3 and ps4 consoles :P
