I'll make a spreadsheet and start filling out names for different Equipment ID's. I'm debating whether or not to make it publicly editable

There's an ID list under the Useful stuff section of the first page, but some of them don't really match (mostly those in the higher end)

I'm totally stumped.

I've been trying to copy my MHG save file from my O3DS running stock 11.0.0.33U with legit physical MHG cart to my N3DS running emuNand 11.0.0.33U with a cia installed version of MHG. Both are USA region games.

Doesn't matter what kind of save manager I use to backup (on the O3DS) and restore (on the N3DS), it always ends up giving an error about extdata when restoring......

Someone give me some pointers?

I wish this save editor could delete the Advanced: Out of the Frying Pan hunt. That quest is ruining my life.
Use an Ice Charge Blade (Snowy Veil [impact] and Giant's Edge [element] are highly recommended) and bring Mega Dash Juice (you will be blocking a lot, so you need the 5 minutes of infinite stamina that each gives to avoid running out and taking damage when blocking). Charge your phials, switch to axe, press A+X to start an AED but cancel it with R. This will turn ytour shield red. Whenever anythiong hits the shield, it will deal damage based on your phial type (Ice damage for Element phial, typeless+Stun damage for Impact phial). You will also not lose sharpness when the shield is hit when glowing red.

Aerial Style is also recommended due to its relatively more mobile nature and handy invincibility frames just after leaping off a monster/at the top of the jump-roll forward evade. It also lets you mount repeatedly and get free head hits with for extra damage and element damage.

Suggested kill order:
1.) Jho - bc the only monster at first. Mounting definitely helps. Also, bring Tremor Ressit to make tripping easier
2.)Tigrex - he will repeatedly charge you and break his own head/claws (and potentially stun himself if using the Impact CB) via phial damage by blocking with a red-charge shield. Mount him when he's tired for extra free head hits. You'll want HG earplugs to lessen roar damage if you find our self too close. Block them as much as possible in any case.
3.)Nargacuga - he doesn't confront directly so he's easy to trap on the other side of the fence after dodging a Tigrex 'steamroll', thus removing him from concern while Tigrex kills itself on your shield). Watch for him hopping around the side of your shield to try and hit you. Quickly release and re-press R while pressing the new direction to quickly re-position your shield.

Most of these are actually tricks derived from Guard Lancing, with the twist of the phial damage MHGen added to a charged CB shield and of the basics of Aerial CB.

I wish this save editor could delete the Advanced: Out of the Frying Pan hunt. That quest is ruining my life.

I did it with the Seregios Switch Axe in the HR Nargacuga armor on my third try (each piece was upgraded twice, I believe. I didn't have access to Hard Armor Spheres yet so I did not use them on this armor). The Deviljho/Tigrex still did absurd damage, but having evasion+2/evade extender helped a *lot*. My style was Striker, using Demon Riot I, Energy Charge II, and Absolute Evasion (a godsend for dodging around some of Deviljho's crazier attacks). The Deviljho took roughly 25 minutes each time, and I continually failed the quest until I took out Tigrex first, then Nargacuga. Tigrex charges in and around far too much to warrant not killing it first.

If you still have trouble, I guess you can edit in some god charm with Evasion + 6 or whatever and any other skill you want, and then gem in for Mushromancer so you can take 10 Dragon Toadstools with you- that's an extra 10(!!) Max Potions, and it is a skill that only takes 5 slots to utilize since each gem gives +2. With 10 Mega Potions, whatever the mission gives in First Aid+, 12 Max Potions and an Ancient Potion, you'll do fine. Just remember the hunter's motto:

"Don't get it, hit it 'till it dies. In that order."

New update: v0.15
What's new:
-Added shoutout editor (Have fun using swear words in your shoutouts!)

I'll add the charm exporter tomorrow. I don't have the list of skills right now so I have to get it myself later tomorrow.

Saving appears to be broken in 0.15 compared to 0.14d. If I attempt to save, even if I make zero changes to the file, I get the following error message:
Code:
Save Unsuccessful
Index and count must refer to a location within the string.
Parameter name: s

Might I ask why the Palico Generator now only has 109, 208 and 307 as DLC palico skill types? I seem to recall that it was legitimate for us to be able to use most of the skill patterns excluding three? (00B, 409 and 707, iirc were the ones we couldn't use.) Also, I thought it was legitimate for us to be able to use a DLC skill in the fourth slot? (Like Moglo)

EDIT: @APM: Please fix the typo for Negate Poison in palico skills. It reads Negate Posion. I keep meaning to say this, but I keep forgetting, lol.

Thanks for this program, btw. Really made my MHG life better.

So, I'm new to all these HAAAAAAAAAAAAX and I would appreciate if someone could give a more in depth tutorial on how I can extract my MHGEN saves. I'm on New 3DS XL if that matters.
Edit : Looked up a bit, all that homebrew stuff is a little hard, any computer executables ?

You need homebrew. Also how can you think its "a little hard" when all you have to do is download a folder, put it in the root of your SD card, type a certain URL or scan a QR code and you have Homebrew. Its that EASY.

I'm the laziest scum you've ever seen, thanks brah, I'd do things to you if I could.
Edit : I asked for an in depth tutorial though, is it too much to ask you what I should do (download wise) if I want to run this save editor ?
Edit 2 : I'm a lazy fag, sorry.

You need homebrew to do that, and I would suggest you post your homebrew related questions in the noob topic here:

Then you might as well forget save editing.

I'll fix them tonight. Any other typos?
Not that I can see. If I do find one, I'll let you know. I looked over the program after you asked, however, and didn't see anything.

The redditors of 3D Shacks even made it easier for you. Just follow this and make sure you choose Homebrew.
