I have a question. A while ago I started to follow plailects guide to get my otp. I downgraded to 2.1 successfully and I got the otp. But I had accidentally restored my emunand instead of sysnand and ended up at firmware version 10.7. I waited for a long time until browserhax got updated. So I downgraded to 9.2 and got Luma3DS rednand on my o3ds. I started the guide again and skipped ahead to part 5. At step one of part five it is asking me to copy files I do not have from the root of my sd card like:
emergency_SecureInfo_A, emergency_movable.sed, emergency_title.db,emergency_ticket.db, NCSD_header_[o/n]3ds.bin, and firm0firm1.xorpad

What do I do? Do I skip this since I already have the otp? Or do I have to redo all of the steps?

You can install a9lh from 9.2, you use safea9lhinstaller.3dsx instead of the other one which is meant for use on 2.1. I'll try and find the link. I did it this way for a console that was already on 2.1 (so I couldn't install a9lh on 2.1 as I didn't have backups - instead I updated to 9.2, made backups, then used the .3dsx version).
Thanks for the super quick response

Here's the link: https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/9.2.0-Update-(Browser-OTP)
Ignore the first half (as you already have your otp). Do the second half to install a9lh from 9.2.

I could get my hands on an Animal Crossing 3DS XL, unpacked, so I'm pretty sure it's on 5.1.0-something. I didn't throw out all my games yet, so fortunately I still have Smash Bros with 8.1 update. To bring it to 9.2 should I could cart-update it and then use rxTools with Plailect's guide? Am I thinking correctly?

Use this to determine what you need to do to update it to 9.2: https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/9.2.0-Update

You generally don't want to do cart updates (to 9.0-9.2) if you don't have to. It means you have to use a game exploit once you're on 9.2 (if you happen to already own a cart that can update you to the right firmware AND a primary exploit, or just a Sky3DS it is easier). Whereas for rxTools methods, you will have the correct browser version once on 9.2 and will be able to use browserhax (so not needing any exploit games). Follow the guide @KunoichiZ linked.

No, you'd have to downgrade using DsiWareHax (requires a second, hacked 3DS) or hardmod.

Luma3ds can directly install on my 11.0 v or must downgrade first?
I know sky3ds is best solution, but i hate sky3ds beacuse to play games all the time must click the button to change games.

You must downgrade, you have no other option unless you buy a Sky3DS even if you hate it

If you don't already have the equipment, it would be a similar cost to send it to somebody to do it for you. And if you ask nicely they may even downgrade & install a9lh for you, saving you many hours.
a guy in a forum said i can hardmod for free but im suspicious about him so i will hardmod myself.i cant use dsiware because i asked all of my friends and everyone said "what is it a 3ds (they stopped selling nintendo product 4 years ago in my country because nortec got bankrupt)" and there is an only friend that has a 3ds but i cant talk with him so hardmod

Hey guys I got a really noob question:
So I just got my new3ds and reading what I can and when I can about hacking (there's a lot of this, I have a job - it takes a lot of time).
My N3DS is on 2.1.0-4E version. I have a The Legend of Zelda - A Link Between Worlds game, which needs 6.2.0E firmware (as shown here http://www.3dsdb.com/). Does that mean that if I try to play the game, the system will update to the 6.2.0E firmware or the latest one? It says that I have to update my system before launching the game.
I know I need a firmware 9.0-9.2 to hack 3ds, but for now I have no idea how to get that on my n3ds and just thought of playing the only original game I have.

How did you even get a n3DS to run 2.1.0-4 without downgrading or without any issues occuring when they didn't come with firmware versions that low...?

You can't have a new 3DS on 2.1, must be an old 3DS :-p

Don't update it just yet (don't play that game). First, get your OTP then install a9lh. You're in a lucky position - most people have to spend hours on installing a9lh as it involves downgrading to 2.1. Lucky you, you're already there! It will take you about half an hour instead of 3 or 4 hours. Follow this little guide here: https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/9.2.0-Update-(Browser-OTP). If you have any problems let us know, and mention to anyone that helps you that you're using this little amended guide, not the full guide.

Hi everyone!! I wanted to ask a question, when I finished the downgrade with the fieldrunners game and the softmod , I proceed to install luma and all that things , then I do it all fine but when I tried to play SSB or mh4 the screen of my o3ds became black and I couldn't get to the home menu so I was forced to power off my o3ds , what is happening?? the other games I have installed are running without any problems , I have luma 5.5 , there is any solution?? :(:(

Agreed, and reduced chance for misunderstanding (since he suggested using a game card right away before checking which ones they had - they might have gone away thinking they'd better get a game card and not respond to the post anymore).

Ah, good to know, thanks. I had wondered about this previously.

Well, you shouldn't be mentioning updating with a cart AT ALL until you were sure they had what they needed - that's just irresponsible. That's like when someone asks about a game not working, suggesting that they update their console before checking what sort of CFW they're running (if they were running non-a9lh, sysNAND CFW that would be an obvious disaster, as well as if they are running emuNAND and you don't specify about going to Settings, checking, not exiting before update, etc).
Umm, I did check their resources, the first thing I asked was, What are All your game cards?
