I have a 9.2 sysNAND n3DS with Emunand on the most recent update (11.0 or something, i cant be bothered loading up everything to check).
I launch emuNAND with menuhax and luma3ds.

How would I go about installing A9LH? Could someone point me in the right direction instead of just "LOOK AT THE GUIDE" because the guide starts from scratch and i just want to make sure i don't need to do anything prior to what i BELIEVE would be Part 4 (2.1.0).

yeah i am also in the same boat..

i got emunand with 11.0 and reinand
but the A9LH starts from scratch
so which part should we begin at?

Also how to export the save data?
the guide was not very clear.
Can we just backup the Nindendo 3DS folder?

Part 4 and use JKSM if you know how to install CIAs. I also suggest that you specifically switch to Luma23DS, as that's what the guide uses.

From the get started page in Plailect's guide: 9.0.0 - 9.2.0 (with an existing CFW): change menuhax to type 1, set your menuhax trigger to D-Pad down, then start the guide at Part 4. Note that anywhere "RedNAND" is mentioned, you can pretend it says "EmuNAND" instead as they are very similar and the instructions will be the same other than that.

Does anyone know why sometimes NTR seems to work but when I load the game the plugin is not applied and I discover it's the vanilla game that plays? I had that happen twice with Birthright. I select bootNTR it loads successfully (or so it says), auto exits, then I select the game and when I play it I discovered that the Gay patch plugin has not been applied...Why?

When you load up the game, do you see a green flash on the 3DS loading screen (not the loading screen for Fates)?

Well...both times it happened...I was looking somewhere else while the game was loading so I don't remember if it flashed green or not...

It seems that if one doesn't load the game right after loading ntr...the NTR effects stops and the plugin doesn't get applied because both times I let the 3ds sat idle for a minute or so before launching the game...

Launch NTR then load Fates immediately and see what happens. And pay attention to the 3DS loading screen as if it flashes green, the plugin should have been applied and should be working.

If not, you may not have the files in the right places.

Tested after waiting: worked as it should (green flash + plugin applied)
tested loading fates right after : stuck at the loading screen (yes it sometimes happen)
third test (loading immediately) : worked as expected

Do u have a guide for JKSM?

So why can't we just copy the Nintendo3DS folder to backup our saves?

is it linked to the emunand, so when we reinstall CFW sysnand, the Nintendo3DS folder cannot just simply be copied back?

Does origin R4 DS flashcart work with A9LH?

how to change the menuhax to type1?
I have forgotten since it was a long while since I done it.
And what does type1 do and why we need to change it?

Currently my 3ds boots straight to emunand without pressing any trigger buttons

You just need to get onto your menuhax manager, which should be found in your homebrew menu. From there it's pretty straight forward, you just say you need to configure the button used or something and it'll let you change to type 1 as well as change the button used.
Type 1 basically just means the 3ds will boot sysNAND instead of emuNAND.
I assume it's needed since A9LH is more for hax on the sysNAND.
Maybe I helped?

1) Put the JKSM cia onto your SD card.
2) Install CIA on emuNAND with FBI.
3) Launch it and follow the onscreen prompts to back up your save files.

You can back up your Nintendo 3DS folder if you want to. I never did and I ended up with all of my saves and data thanks to JKSM and backing up my emuNAND. The Nintendo 3DS folder will work when CFW sysNAND is installed since it's tied to your current emuNAND, but just use JKSM to ensure that your saves are safe.

That's good! I guess I never realized that there was a time limit between launching NTR and then loadingup the game. I always launched the immediately after so I never had a problem.

Uh, should emuNAND and sysNAND be the same size?
I just backed them both up and my emuNAND is 1,933,312 kb in size while my sysNAND is the same.
It's been a while since ive done things with backups but i think i recall my old emuNAND backup being much larger than my sysNAND one.

Emunand and sysnand should be the same size , as the emunand is usually a 1:1 copy of the sysnand in its original state :P

In the DSI downgrade, it is asking me to sign in to the initial Nintendo network ID. Is it supposed to be the new one I created earlier for the guide? I don't think I had a NNID on my hacked 3DS

Im trying to downgrade with the DSI game currently. I'm trying to do the system transfer part with my O3DS that is hacked. Every time I try to connect with my Nintendo Network ID I always get an error. This has been happening a lot times. Is there a way to fix it?
Edit: It works now. I just had to do it many times to work, probably because its an O3DS

Which entrypoint are you going to use after the Fieldrunners downgrade? Im trying oot3dhax, but my 3ds doesnt launch anything when i open the hacked save :(

If you never had any, then dont connect it again ^^ It just expects that if you did a sysnand backup when you were connected to a ID, that you should connect back before flashing back the sysnand. But actually you can also keep your hacked 3ds like it is after format and just install all your cias again. I kind of dont want to flash too many sysnands if i dont have to.

what did you downgrade to? 9.2?
I followed Plailects downgrade guide to basically just downgrade the "NATIVE_FIRM" on firwmare 11 3DS. Its said to follow his normal guide then afterwards with any of the entry points, other than menuhax/browserhax. So i guessed i could use oot3dhax, which is basically the most convenient one for me.

Well at least for me it doesnt work so far, but maybe im just doing something wrong ^^

@BigOnYa there were relevant issues before south park was made, that's why i think a south park prequel/spinoff would be great. Randy and his friends in their child hood
