Just for typical reasons:
1) was it the correct region and were the files for new 3ds???
2) Did you try recovery mode???
3) which homebrew downgrader did you use
4) which entrypoint did you use
5) what kind of guide did you use (video, plailect guide, gbatemp tutorial,...)

Update: my n3ds turn on if the sd card is not in it. The console is downgraded but what do I have to do?

I used PlaiSysUpdater, entrypoint menuhax (after using ninjhax) and I used a NOOB friendly guide here in gbatemp!

Instantly change theme!!!!
If you just want cfw you can go to this guide https://gbatemp.net/threads/tutoria...luding-emunand-coldboot-cia-installer.405589/
Or if you want a9hl you have to follow this guide till the end!!!! https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki

Just passing by to ask something:
Is there any difference between the SD you use to downgrade regarding bricks? (I downgrade a long time ago, just asking for clarification)
Just asking 'cos I read that using one of this is safer than using an SD adapter.
sd-card.jpeg

I simply use the 4GB that comes with 3ds units.

Sorry i forgot the error.......... you have to run a downgrade check!
and i think you can change theme, otherwise delete the folder 00000002ce from sd directory Nintendo3DS/***/???/, where *** and ??? should be just one folder!!!!

Lets recap!!! Did the plaisysupdater throwed an error or not? Because if it did 9.2 didnt install corectly!!!

before downgrading it checks if every file in the 'update' folder is damaged. Everything was ok, downgrade started and after some minutes a screen with "an error has occurred [...]". I shut down the console and it turns on only without sd card. After formatting the micro sd, it turns on even with it in

Sorry for my bad english, I'm not native.

So you didnt pay attention the whole time??? The error screen was because you downgraded your 3ds to 9.2 and the installed menuhax was incompaitible with that version!!!

What does it mean? There's a specific version of menuhax for new3ds?
But now: what do I have to do?

EDIT
I can't upload photos from my smartphone, I used the downgrade check and I get a red text with written:

New3ds NATIVE_FIRM - - - - - - - - - ver. Expected - - Installed
0004013820000002 - - - - - - - - - - - - - 17120 - - - - 18182

The menuhax versions are different for each system version and if they get installed in a different system version than the intended the system will not be able to boot!!! (you just experienced the results!)
Then you have 2 ways to install cfw: 1) menuhax+cfw 2)a9hl
The pros and cons:

1)menuhax+cfw:

Pros
No more modifications on sysnand needed

Cons
somewhere to 25sec bootime in a 90% bootrate success
You must never update sysnand
Some more that you will learn by time

2)a9hl

Pros
somewhere to 8 sec boot like an unmoded 3ds
100% bootrate
unbrickable and unpatchable

Cons
a more lengthy process
It has a really small possibility of bricking your 3ds (somewhere around 0,01% which is greatly increased if you arent following the guide to detail!!!)

For menuhax+cfw go here https://gbatemp.net/threads/tutoria...luding-emunand-coldboot-cia-installer.405589/

And for a9hl go here and start from part 3! https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki

I think I'll go with the menuhax for now. Check my edit up there, I don't know if it's an useful info.

Anyway, thanks for the patience.

You have to run plaisysupdater again!!! the native firm is still the one from 9.4 and it will stop you from procceeding any more!!!

downgrade from 9.2 to 9.2?
Yes. Because it is not actually 9.2. It just says it is. The critical component that must be downgraded (NATIVE_FIRM), is not on the version it should be for 9.2.

(New 3ds europe)

(with the downgrading proces)
