Sorry, but I have problems installing the new OOT3DHAX. Here is the problem:
- I have an O3DS with A9LH and Luma. I want to install the OOT3DHAX for a 11.0 New3DSXL. I have a physical OOT3D cart and EUR systems.
- I have downloaded the raw save images from yellow8 site but I don't know which program should I use to install them(it) into the cart
- I tried running the smealum OOT3DHAX installer (the one contained in the starter.zip) selecting 11.0.0.33 for New3DS but It does not work on New 3DS (when I run the exploit the game freezes or goes back to home menu with an error).
- On this thread I've seen that have been posted some save images in the format (payload.bin + save00.bin), i.e. the one used by svdt / JKSM. I have still to try, but I see only a pair of directories (i.e. eur/new, eur/old): shouldn't they be four sets (N3DS/O3DS * CartID_old/CartID_new)?
Thanks!

Use the files kindly uploaded in this archive by the other post.
http://gbatemp.net/attachments/oot3dhax_11_0-zip.54167/

Use the ones in the country code of your system, (EUR/NEW)

Turn the system on and boot the game, during boot, hold A,B,X,Y And format the save data, then use a FBI installer 2.3.1 latest version To inject the "SAVE00.BIN" And "PAYLOAD.BIN" Into the game cart (Least that what i did and it worked) Or use any save manager like SVDT TO do so.

Thanks for the answer. Just one more question: shouldn't the save images be four sets (N3DS/O3DS * CartID_old/CartID_new)? In the attached zip, the images are only differentiated by New (3DS) and old (3DS) not by Cart ID.

I don't think it would be a problem, i used it on my USA/OLD 3ds and it worked fine, you just have to try and find out, the post again if any problems, someone may be able to help you then, but for now, just try something. :)

Sorry if this has been answered already. I don't own a Powersave so I'm using FreakyHax to update Oothax, but whenever I go to Oothax installer on Homebrew, it always gives me a yellow screen. All my hax files are up to date, so is there any solution to this?

Yeah, been answered already. But anyway, @zoogie linked the working oothax saves for the latest firmware. You'll find them by going back a few pages on this thread. Use a save manager to inject them, the installer doesn't work on latest firmware.

Thanks for the files @Sonic Angel Knight :)

Another question, do I move these files onto the root of my SD card or the Save Manager file itself?

Hey everyone,

I'm having issues getting oot3dhax to work on my 11.0 USA N3DS.

I have an old 3ds with CakesFW I am using to manually install the payload and save file posted in this forum.

- I selected the correct file USA/new and placed on my SD card
- open SVDT on my old3ds w/CakesFW
- transfer payload.bin and save00.bin to oot3d cartridge.
- remove cartridge place in n3ds 11.0
- after playing opening hax, game freezes in links room, then quits to home screen stating system needs to be restarted.

Any ideas???
I have double checked and he boot3dsx is on the root of the new3ds sd card.
I have also replaced that file with the newest build

Edit:
My old3ds with CakesFW is still on 10.7, I don't know if that would cause and issue because it just manually injecting the save

Did you make sure your using the right files for the system? Yes, each one is for new 3ds and old 3ds.
Start by doing this
  1. Insert Legend of zelda Ocarina of time into your system.
  2. Start the game and hold A,B,X,Y
  3. A menu to format the system will load upon boot, proceed to confirm format game card.
  4. Download this archive.https://gbatemp.net/attachments/oot3dhax_11_0-zip.54167/
  5. *Extract the archive that reperesents your setup and put the files in the folders on to the sd card with cfw (Homebrew enabled)
  6. Use the a save data manager like latest version of FBI installer 2.4.1 Or th YBe SVDT (I used fbi) And inject the "SAVE00.BIN" And "PAYLOAD.BIN" Files to the game card. Leave the system.bin, it belongs there.
  7. Download the homebrew starter pack from here. https://smealum.github.io/ninjhax2/starter.zip
  8. Extract the contents and put it on the sd card. Make sure the "BOOT.3DSX" file is on the root of the sdcard (Not iniside any folders) And that there is a 3DS folder on there too (DO not confuse with "NINTENDO 3DS Folder, as they both serve different Purposes)
  9. Insert game card into the any 3ds with firmware 11.0.0-33, and proceed to load the save file hax as normal and press A button.
  10. WELCOME TO THE HOMEBREW:)
For step 5 Please note there are 3 folders, USA EUR JAN Inside is NEW OLD folders. Use the one that represents your setup. For example i use a USA OLD so i would use that, But depending on the system and country you are, it may be different. Check system menu for what system you have

By looking at the firmware version (Mine is 11.0.0-33-U) the letter will tell you what region your system is.
USA = U (NTSC-U)
EUR = E (PAL-E)
JAP = J (NTSC-J)

In addition to the system the old and new ones are as followed.
Old = Nintendo 3ds, Nintendo 2ds, Nintendo 3ds XL
New = NEW Nintendo 3ds, NEW Nintendo 3ds XL
This should be obvious and not needed to be explained but why not?:ninja:

Just updated the savefile on my OoT3D cartridge using DS Lite + R4 flashcart + DSM homebrew. Worked like a charm, OoT3Dhax is running again on 11.0 O3DS :)

I've imported the savefile correctly and the hax only works for me when I spam A immediately after continuing the game. If I try to trigger the exploit like I used to (move Link to the map and only then press A), the game crashes. Just try spamming A from the moment you load your savefile and see if it works. If it still doesn't, try restoring the savefile from the latest pack released by yellows8.

I will try this whole process again, but I'm pretty sure that is what I did.i had oot3dhax for my new3ds on 10.7, but I just updated it to 11.0 when I heard this hax was working again. I may try using FBI installer and see if that make a difference

When I try spamming A the game just crashed. I had to hold down the power button to hard reset the console

Okay, just want to make sure about this; my Oot cartridge already has the hax installed back around firmware 10.7, so do I still need to format everything before injecting the saves onto it? Sorry for asking noob questions, better safe than sorry haha.
