This could be because of the way the L/R Trigger are detected.
It has happened to me and is not an emulator problem (if it this same thing).

For me, the L/R Trigger are put in the same analog axis, for me it was Z axis, with left trigger adding to the axis and right trigger deducting from the axis. So pressing the two triggers at the same time, put the Z axis in 'zero', so the computer detects this as no button being pressed.
Is this what happens to you?
Yes that's right,

LT = Axis Z-
RT = Axis Z+
and when I press both at the same time nothing happens,

But I think it can be corrected by the emulator, I do not have this problem on other emulators like dolphin for example.

Project64 and mupen have the same issue. It's because the triggers are read as one axis because of the pressure sensors. It's Microsoft's cheap way to make them in an Xbox controller by simulating another analog as axis Z.

Cemu 1.5.2 seems to simply be worse than 1.5.1 for me. I was getting 60 fps in both SM3DW and MK8 before with occasional small freeze hiccups, now my frame rate is in the 40s with frequent freeze hiccups and more visual glitches. I'm running Windows 10 and there was a major update for it recently, so that could be the problem. I no longer have 1.5.1 to do a direct comparison. Is it hosted anywhere?

4790K @ 4.4GHz, MSI 980 Ti OC edition, 16GB of 1867 MHz RAM, latest version of Windows 10.

Thanks.

And yeah, it's the emulator itself, not the Windows update. 1.5.1 runs vastly superior to 1.5.2 for me. Stable 60fps with rare split-second stutter hiccups. Fully playable, while 1.5.2 lags and stutters so much that it's a chore to play.

Nah, it's not a placebo effect for me. It's definitely the emulator version in my case and not the update. I get much better performance on 1.5.1 than 1.5.2. I just did a back to back comparison.

https://www.reddit.com/r/cemu/comments/4oec02/smash_4_not_getting_past_stage_selection_screen/ deos anyone know how to solve this because it is happening to quite a few people
I've only had that happen to me a few times tbh, seemed to be fixed for me after using the "Smash input workaround" again. I probably should of put more emphasis on exiting/closing the input settings window after saving settings and opening it up again to switch back to the gamepad though.
