So I had a 9.2 New 3ds that had a broken C Stick. I had menuHAX and all of my emuNAND on my SD card which I removed. I wiped my data and I sent it in to nintendo and they repaired it and sent it back to me. But unfortunately they upgraded to 11.0.

Im pretty upset. But Im trying to figure out what I have to do to be able to load up my Gateway Card and Luma 3ds CFW. Are my only hopes right now the SSB Beacon HAX and freakyform? If I am on 11.0 I can load up that exploit then from the HBL load my gateway Homebrew or Luma 3DS?

If you had a warranty or not, you should not have sent it to Nintendo, if you cared about keeping an exploitable system. For something like a broken C stick, you could have got it repaired by someone (store) or something. Right now you are limited to 11.0 EDIT: and no (Arm9/11) kernel access, as they patched the downgrading, so basically keep it for homebrew by using Freakforms or SKY3ds with the rom, yet be prepared to pay SCALPED prices for a retail Freaky cart, if unlucky enough to find a cheapo one somewhere. GW will not work on 11.0 either, so you're screwed.

Other option, is sell it and buy a 10.xx console and go from there, as 11.0 downgrading/arm9/arm11 access won't be anytime soon imo.

11.0 has no arm 11 access as well thats why you cannot downgrade from it

If it was that easy, everyone on 11.0 would had already downgraded and never paid for a hardmod
well it is possible like as long as the wires touching the solder points where it should it it should be fine you just need to make sure the wires don't move so you use electrical tape for that

What if it moves? You will basically have paperweight, plus I'm sure it isn't that easy to do a "temphardmod"

Just making sure the dude doesn't go and try and flash an old nand is all. Chances are if he came on here asking for help and everyone just yells "hardmod!" that he might try it.
hum, the hardmod would allow him to downgrade NATIVE_FIRM without a previous NAND backup. Just saying.

Nope. That's a minor reason. The biggest reason for no software-based downgrades on 11.0 is the minimum-version check, which doesn't allow you to install older titles. Even if we had an ARM11 kernel exploit, we wouldn't be able to downgrade via software on 11.0. To bypass the check we'd need an ARM9 exploit, rendering any downgrade useless (except for people who want to downgrade to 2.1.0 for the OTP)

Another two options. One is a hardmod and the plaintext downgrade. The other is to send it to someone who can do the plaintext downgrade.

I bet you could just use some electrical tape some wires from an internet cable and sd adapter and an sd reader those could be house hold items for you just to restore its nand back up
That is also a good way to corrupt your files. Electrical tape does not hold that well. If those wires slip and touch something critical. A spark, a wisp of smoke, a dead console....
